The BATON PLUG system is designed to detect when your car is in distress. It uses data from three different sensors: acceleration, gyroscope, and geomagnetic field, to determine when to send an alert.
While all the sensors work in tandem to deliver the most accurate results, they all function independently as well.
The Acceleration sensor helps detect your car’s abrupt stops, hard turns, and quick stops.
The Gyro sensor detects sudden changes in the direction of movement.
The Magnetic sensor detects rapid transitions from one location to another (crossing certain thresholds within a certain time frame).
Our motion-pattern analysis AI algorithm is based on data collected over three years. A research group from Korea University analyzed all the information and data collected. As a result, if an accident happens, the device is able to detect the accident within 0.3 seconds.
