Introducing GLYDR

Our hands are often overloaded when we play games while our feet are at rest. By moving key actions to your feet with GLYDR, you’re expanding the tools at your disposal during your most intense gaming moments.

Expand Your Toolkit

Extra buttons on controllers, keyboards, and mice don’t actually solve the problem of repetitive overuse of your hands and fingers, and often those extra buttons don’t expand your options, they simply move them around.

Whether it’s one favorite action or sixteen, every player that uses GLYDR is gaining options they can use in tandem with control schemes they already use.

GLYDR Isn't Your Typical Foot Pedal

Foot-based controllers and pedals currently on the market are particularly suited for one purpose, like single click pedals for single, non-analog actions. Rudder pedals offer a great experience for flight sims, but uses outside of flight sim are limited since the rudders aren’t designed to be bidirectional in tilt. Car pedals only go in one direction, limiting uses outside of racing games.

GLYDR’s versatility is one of its greatest strengths! You’ll find improvements in any game you connect to it!

*You can still totally use GLYDR for stenography, racing, or flying.

Set Up In Minutes

Getting GLYDR going in your setup is a snap and will only take a few minutes from unboxing to getting your feet in your favorite games.

Step 1: Connect GLYDR via USB or Bluetooth

Step 2: Open the Configurator to choose or create a control profile

Step 3: Fire up your favorite game

Our configurator empowers you not only to select finely-tuned pre-made profiles for the best games and most popular genres, but to create their own profiles to suit their specific needs.

You can then share their profiles (think Steam configurations) with the world! We want to build a community of other players who are curious and excited to get the most out of GLYDR.

The configurator also allows you to customize individual deadzones per pedal, creating an experience tailor-made for your specific feet.

Hard to Reach Actions Made Simple

Keyboard reaches and frustrating team communication are a thing of the past with GLYDR, a device perfect for accessing important but awkwardly-situated functions while you play.

Gain An Edge On Your Competition

GLYDR provides a tactical advantage while playing a vast variety of games spanning all genres.

In intense first-person shooters, GLYDR can boost your mobility by moving crouching, peeking, and sprinting to your feet, giving you the hand focus you need to do everything else.

Compatible with Thousands of Games

GLYDR is fully compatible out of the box with your entire PC library* and can be reconfigured on the fly with our app. Certain console experiences are compatible as long as they offer keyboard and mouse controls. More official compatibility with consoles is a priority for our team, as is MacOS and mobile compatibility moving forward.

If you’re into legal console emulation through your PC, GLYDR will work with your setup to turn your classic console games #feetlegal.

*There are like…tens of thousands of PC games. We cannot immediately identify any reason GLYDR wouldn’t work with whichever PC game you have in mind, but we have also not tested every single game.

VR is Better with GLYDR

Virtual reality is an amazing way to experience games and digital experiences, but clearing space and standing up to move around isn’t always something you want to do. With GLYDR, dusting off your VR headset is a no-brainer because you can play where you are!

Just set up GLYDR with Bluetooth on your VR device of choice and play any game that allows for seated play! Don’t trip all over yourself to play VR, just get your feet in the game!

Take GLYDR to Work

GLYDR can be configured to move your mouse cursor, not only unlocking even more options in games, but also creating opportunities outside of games to improve productivity and efficiency.

That’s right, GLYDR can be used with countless apps on your PC desktop. Create profiles for scrubbing video with your feet. Music creation in your digital suite is now superpowered with your feet, allowing more efficient recording setups.

Scene switching while you’re streaming is also a snap with GLYDR, meaning you can stay focused and connected with your chat and no-look all those cool transitions with your feet.

What's Included with GLYDR

Every GLYDR comes with the necessary USB cable to set up the device if you choose not to connect with Bluetooth. The software needed to configure the device and set custom profiles will be available via desktop or mobile app.

Product Details

Every GLYDR is built to last with high quality materials needed to withstand the rigors of intense, consistent gameplay over the span of a few years. The pads on each pedal are soft enough for playing with socks or bare feet, with textured grips for control when you need it the most. For playing with shoes, the pads can be cleaned with an alcohol solution and gentle cloth as needed.

Our cofounder Rick Tett has been iterating on GLYDR for years, going through multiple variations and testing the product through all of these cycles. Here are some shots of just a few of our working prototypes:

Okay "working" prototype doesn't work for this first wood and metal version, but it's so close to the final product! Wild, huh?
You could stand on this one! Don't stand on the one we're making. Trust us!

One of our newer prototypes, which connects via both USB and Bluetooth.

GLYDR has five working patents covering the United States, China, Korea, and Japan, with more patents pending.

Meet the Team

Based in Dallas, Texas, the GLYDR team is made up of curious, innovative folks who know the next frontier in gaming is incorporating our feet!

Cofounder Rick Tett, who looks great in a ballcap.

Rick Tett – Inventor, CTO, & Cofounder

Rick got the idea to build GLYDR after watching nephew zoom around on a hoverboard in the physical world and thought “the simple forward and backward foot motion would work in the digital world, too!” Rick built the first GLYDR prototype as a way to locomote in virtual reality and the concept evolved from there to incorporate general video gaming.

Cofounder Peter, who's never met a patterned shirt he didn't look great in.

Peter Bartnik – CEO & Cofounder

Peter comes to us from Down Under and is awaiting the next great Aussie Rules Football video game so he can dominate with GLYDR. Peter’s decades of consumer product experience ensures GLYDR is going to hit the market with quality and our customers in mind at all times.

Cofounder John, whose hair was simply not cooperating on this day,

John Warren – CMO & Cofounder

John is a thirteen year games industry veteran, having tackled the publishing and media worlds previously as one of the founders of Fanbyte.com. Before that, he made games and continues his journey deeper into the games space by helping bring GLYDR to market. He recently discovered he doesn’t actually stink at Apex Legends if he uses GLYDR for sprinting and sliding.

We have an advisory team including Jordan Reiss, who saw an exit with gaming hardware company Astro Gaming to Skullcandy and then Logitech, Adam Rymer, an entertainment and games industry veteran who ran Optic Gaming, and Jinwon Lee, a manufacturing specialist with vast experience in wearable and consumer technology.
