In 2021, we launched XGO-Mini, the advanced quadruped robot with AI modules. In 2023, we introduced  XGO 2, the world’s first Raspberry Pi desktop robotic dog with an arm. We have received a great deal of support and praise, establishing the XGO community.

Now, let‘s welcome the new member of the XGO family: XGO-Rider, the World‘s First Desktop Two Wheel-Legged Robot with AI.

Compared to other wheeled-legged robots on the market, XGO-Rider is compact and agile, a new companion on your desk. Additionally, XGO-Rider is competitively priced, offering a cost-effective choice of wheeled-legged robot for consumers, robotics, and programming enthusiasts.

Built on the Raspberry Pi CM4 core module and integrated with ChatGPT,  XGO-Rider boasts various AI features including Gesture Recognition, Face Detection, Skeleton Recognition, and more.

We also have a micro:bit version of XGO-Rider, which is built on a micro:bit motherboard and can be used in conjunction with the Makecode/MicroBlocks programming platform. This version is particularly suited to children’s initial programming learning.

XGO-CM4 is powered by a Raspberry Pi Computer Module 4 (CM4) with a quad-core Cortex-A72 CPU at 1.5GHz and a 2-inch IPS screen (320 x 240). It comes with 2GB RAM, a 32GB Micro SD card, enabling swift boot-up times and seamless operations. It supports wireless connectivity through dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 BLE.

XGO-CM4 includes a high-speed expansion interface with 4 programmable keys, dual speaker ports, a USB 2.0 Type-C port, and a micro-HDMI port for external devices. Additionally, the 4-pin PH2.0 supports various hardware applications with serial communication.XGO-CM4 carrier board schematic Download.

XGO-Rider wheel-legged robot have two high-lifespan foc brushless motors with built-in control circuitry, supporting a peak output torque of up to 2kg·cm.

The XGO-Rider features servo motors with full-metal shell serial bus, equipped with metal gears, hollow cup motors, 360° magnetic encoders, and high-performance bearings, ensuring smooth and flexible joint movements.

Using a 4.5KG.CM All-metal Magnetic Encoding Bus Serial Servo as the joint, FOC Hub Integrated Motor as the wheel, XGO-Rider enables agile, stable, and omni directional movement.

XGO-Rider can adjust its position based on IMU feedback to adapt to various terrain obstacles.

Powered by Raspberry CM4, the XGO-Rider is open-sourced, enabling users to program it using Blocky and Python. Moreover, it is equipped with Robot Operating System (ROS) packages for developers. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced programmer, you can use or learn to program XGO-Rider with ease.

Collaborating with ELECFREAKS, XGO-Rider can also work with micro:bit, supporting MakeCode/MicroBlocks programming. This version is particularly suited to children’s initial programming learning.
