At Graphene-X we are driven by a mission to leverage the unparalleled potential of advanced materials and nature’s evolutionary designs to revolutionize the capabilities of your gear. The puffer jacket and the denim jeans, two of the most popular pieces in modern history, have been “stuck” for a long time in the dimension of what are they capable of.

What if a puffer jacket could do more? What if it could protect you in gelid environments, but it could also perform in warmer conditions?

On the puffer, the main objective is to excel at the weight/warmth ratio in an extremely long range of action — our testing went from -20°C (-4°F) to +20°C( 68°F). With deflated tubes the AeroGraph’s warming capacity would be in line with a FP 650 down jacket, while with inflated tubes it would be in line with a FP 900 down jacket. Now, what really sets the difference here is not only have 2 completely different jackets in one in terms of their warming capability but also that normally on a down jacket with 900+ fill power you would need between 250-300 grams of down, here we are achieving the same results with only 160 grams of graphene-integrated fill.

       .

What if we completely re-invented denim jeans? Make them more comfortable, more flexible, tougher, and that could help you regulate your temperature while keeping the classic looks we all love.

We turned to aerogel, the world’s lightest solid, and graphene, the toughest material yet discovered to see if we could re-engineer these products from the bottom up. After years of development, we’ve come up with a technology that changes everything, again.

For the puffer jacket, we engineered a revolutionary technology that allows the puffer to expand and contract by itself, reacting to the conditions as a living object. We’ve named this technology W.A.I. or Weather Adaptive Insulation.

W.A.I. consists in filling the front and back of the puffer with aerogel tubes that inflate and deflate depending on how cold or hot the conditions are. The science behind this relies on Aerogel, a material that’s 99% air, making it the lightest solid in the world.

In cold conditions, this air contracts, decreasing molecular motion and reducing the space occupied. This contraction generates tension in the tubes, which inflates them and builds an extra layer of air between you and the exterior. When exposed to hotter weather, the exact opposite occurs, leading to a less warm puffer jacket.

The rest of the puffer insulation is powered by synthetic graphene-integrated fill, which is unbeatable in the weight-to-warmth ratio. It also means this insulation will keep performing even when soaked.

The outer layer of the puffer is made out of a next-generation bio-based nylon ripstop PA56 shell made out of starch, that is coated with a PFC & PFA free water repellent agent, to ensure you remain protected all along.

On the AeroGraph Denim Jeans we took a different approach. Our jeans are crafted with a unique blend of graphene & aerogel integrated fibers, and spandex woven into the weft yarn, enhancing durability, thermal regulation, and flexibility.

To make this even better, we partnered with Advanced Denim, one of the most innovation-driven denim mills in the world, and applied their Air Lock™ technology on the warp of the fabric. This tech allows the denim fabric to breathe and stretch over 40% of its original form, offering exceptional comfort.

The AeroGraph Denim jeans feel like jogger pants, perform like adventure pants, and look like… denim jeans!

We are well aware that fabrics technology needs to work along with thoughtful design. A myriad of features have been carefully implemented to bring functionality of the AeroGraph Puffer & Jeans to the next level.

Stretch Goals:
Let’s make this even better.

> USD $200,000 (SURPRISE STRETCH GOAL): Denim Colors |The AeroGraph will be offered in black and indigo blue.

>USD $500,000: You name it. Also, a poll will be run to define your biggest ask for this project.

Kickstarter is well embedded in Graphene-X’s DNA. The reason (or better said three reasons) are simple:

  • The backer wins because he gets the absolute best deal on our product launches and joins us along the journey.

  • Graphene-X wins because we are able to finance our productions without external financing agents.

  • The Product wins as exposing it to thousands of eyes before bulk production always leads to an improved version of the original concept.

If you count how many creators have launched over 3 campaigns (this is our 9th!), and check how many of them have delivered on time and in line with the claimed quality, you’d get to less than 0.1%. Well, we are part of that minuscule group and we are darn proud of it.
