At ALCADUS, our mission is to put an artfully crafted, understated, and elegant timepiece on your wrist. Founded in 2018, ALCADUS has launched its inaugural model OPUS 39 in 2019, and subsequently the Dromo and Opus V2 in 2022.

We are proud to introduce to you our latest model: Quantra.

The Type 01 features 3 distinct dial colours with the sector dial design. Production of each model is strictly limited, ensuring exclusivity and rarity.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic designs of the past, we have meticulously curated every detail to ensure optimal legibility and visual harmony. The Quantra Type 01 speaks a language of balance and refinement, embodying the timeless charm of classic watchmaking.

In our pursuit of timeless elegance, we’ve reimagined the classic sector dial. Traditionally, these dials feature hour markers at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. However, we’ve introduced a small second hand at 9 o’clock, prompting us to adjust the layout for balance.

For Type01 Sector, the dials are painted with a matte finish at the center and complemented by a metallic circular brushed finish on the outer layer, creating a harmonious blend of texture and sheen that exudes understated luxury.

At the ‘9’ o’clock position, a radial guilloche-engraved subdial commands attention with its intricate pattern, reminiscent of the finest craftsmanship found in traditional watchmaking.

Complementing the elegant aesthetic are the striking blue hands for Salmon and Silver dial variants, adding a pop of color and a touch of modernity to the design. Against the backdrop of the brushed metallic and a matt surface, the blue hands stand out with a timeless elegance, ensuring optimal legibility and style.

Gunmetal-coated hands are specifically crafted for our purple dial variant. These hands, with their sleek yet understated elegance, effortlessly complement the richness of the purple dial, enhancing its allure and ensuring optimal legibility in any light.

The Quantra operates on an automatic movement featuring a micro-rotor. Its transparent case back and the positioning of the oscillating weight at the same level as other components unveil the watch’s inner workings, providing a captivating view of the gears in motion. The micro-rotor movement is regulated in-house to +/- 7 seconds and upgraded with blue screws and custom ALCADUS rotor.

The 36mm stainless steel case features a highly polished bezel, circular brushed finish on the lugs, and beadbasted finish on the case sides.

The Quantra features a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Designed to offer a mesmerizing glimpse into the heart of the watch, this feature provides an unobstructed view of the beautifully decorated micro-rotor movement.

From intricate Geneva stripes to gleaming polished surfaces, every element shines brightly through the transparent caseback, inviting you to delve deeper into the world of haute horlogerie.

A hallmark of distinction across all ALCADUS models, the Quantra proudly boasts box-shaped crystals that extend beyond the case edge, a notable enhancement over the previously prevalent plexiglass (acrylic glass) susceptible to scratches.

Remarkably resilient with a hardness rating of 2200-2300 HV, the sapphire crystals adorning our timepieces are virtually impervious to breakage, second only to diamond in durability and scratch resistance.

Moreover, our sapphire crystal undergoes a meticulous process, receiving 5 layers of Anti-Reflective coating on its inner side to enhance clarity and legibility. This thoughtful treatment ensures optimal visibility without compromising its integrity, as applying the coating to both sides can risk scratching.

The subtle distortion created by the curvature adds depth and character to the viewing experience

The leather strap, often underestimated by many, emerges as an indispensable detail within the realm of ALCADUS. It stands not merely as an accessory, but as a quintessential component of our timepieces—an embodiment of craftsmanship, durability, tradition, comfort, and uncompromising quality.

In our pursuit of excellence, we turn to Tanneries Haas in France, esteemed supplier to luxury titans such as Hermès, Chanel, and Bottega Veneta. With roots dating back to 1842, Tanneries Haas is renowned for its premium leathers, ensuring our straps epitomize the epitome of luxury.

At a width of 20mm at the lug, our straps elegantly taper to 16mm at the buckle, ensuring a harmonious balance of proportion and sophistication. Adorned with a polished finished buckle featuring a relief-engraved logo, our straps exude refinement in every detail.

Furthermore, our commitment to convenience and versatility is exemplified by the inclusion of Quick Release Spring Bars, allowing for effortless strap changes with ease and efficiency. With ALCADUS, every strap is not just an accessory—it’s a statement of timeless elegance and enduring quality.

Beyond covering mechanical faults of the watch movement, this comprehensive guarantee offers a 1 (one) time complimentary watch case replacement for any damage (within 48-month warranty period)—whether from daily wear or an unexpected accident—ensuring your complete peace of mind. This covers any form of mechanical fault of the movement and we will arrange a repair free of charge.

How it Works:

When you pledge to support us on Kickstarter, you’ll only be charged 50% of the total pledge amount. The remaining 50% along with the shipping fees will be collected outside of the Kickstarter platform in July 2024, once the project is successfully completed.

Why the Instalment Plan?

We believe in transparency and fairness in all aspects of our campaign. Here are some reasons why we’ve chosen to implement this instalment plan:

Strong Supplier Relationships: Thanks to our solid working relationships with our suppliers and manufacturers, we’re able to initiate the manufacturing process with a lower down payment. It wouldn’t be fair for us to collect the full payment upfront when we don’t incur the full manufacturing cost immediately.
Instalment Plan for Backers: We understand that committing to a full payment upfront might not be feasible for everyone. Our instalment plan allows backers to contribute to our project without shouldering the full financial burden at once.
Reduced Financial Burden: Splitting the payment into two instalments lessens the financial burden on our backers, making it easier for more people to support our project.
