THE PROBLEM

Let’s face it: Finding good denim is hard. Cheap jeans might feel like a quick fix, but they don’t last. They wear out, pill, fray and/or stretch beyond recognition—and they gravely harm the planet in the process.

On the other hand, premium selvedge denim is incredible. It lasts decades, feels luxurious, and only gets better with age. But… $300? $400? Who can afford that? Big brands inflate prices to cover storefronts, glossy ads, and “brand tax.” Along with being prohibitively expensive. Environmental Footprint

And then there’s fast fashion—a treadmill of waste, pollution, and exploitation. Every cheap pair of jeans costs the planet far more than it costs you.

Conventional cotton farming is one of the most environmentally taxing and socially deteriorating industries. It consumes 16% of the world’s insecticides and 7% of all pesticides, contaminating soil, water, and air, while only covering 2.5% of farmed land in the world. Pesticide runoff pollutes local water sources, causing cancer, neurological disorders, and birth defects in farming communities. The excessive water use—often from unsustainable irrigation—has led to environmental disasters like the near-collapse of the Aral Sea. Additionally, chemical dyes and textile processing release toxic wastewater, further harming ecosystems and human health. Polyester and other plastic based fibers are often incorporated in denim, which turns an already polluting garment to polluting and non-biodegradable.

Cheap Denim is flimsy and polluting, while Selvedge Denim is expensive and high maintenance.

DENIM PANTS

We are offering our denim pants in 3 versions. An authentic Relaxed Straight fit, A modern Slim Tapered fit and a vintage Cargo silhouette.

All the garments are available in 2 authentic colors. Natural Indigo and Pale Indigo. We have stitched our denim with tone on tone thread (thread color matches the fabric color for a sleek look), but backers can opt for caramel threads and many other customizations in the post campaign survey. 

RELAXED FIT 

An authentic straight fit with comfort and room in seat and thigh. Cut straight from crotch to hem.

SLIM FIT

A contemporary solution for versatile dressing up and down scenarios. Mid-rise and tapered from crotch to hem. Intentional design to make sure that the garment is not tight at the thigh and knee while still retaining a slim silhouette.  

WORK CARGO

A quintessential garment for the heavy duty work, Cut straight and roomy with additional knee pockets and carpenter patches.

JACKETS 

We are offering a singular timeless jacket design. The authentic trucker silhouette never goes out of style and it is elevated further due to the beautiful fabric and fit details we use on ours.

Risks and challenges

While we have full control over every aspect of our production, from fabric sourcing to final product, unforeseen circumstances—like supply chain delays or minor hiccups—can sometimes arise. However, we’re in a strong position with a massive and reliable partner, Artistic Milliner, for our eco-friendly fabric, which ensures that material sourcing is secure. Beyond that, we handle everything else in-house, allowing us to maintain full control over quality, timelines, and delivery.
