Why We Made It?
A Clean Way For Pets to Drink and Eat, An Elegant Object For Home
We are pet lovers and dog owners. Over the years, we’ve tried almost every kind of bowl on the market, but none truly met our needs.
- Normal bowls often leave a dog’s mouth and fur wet, leading to splashes across the floor.
- Plastic bowls (with floating plates) often grow green algae in the summer, and when put in the dishwasher, they get burned, warped, and even etched. The plastic floating plate traps dirty water between layers of plastic — even soap and detergent seep inside — making them impossible to clean safely.
- Metal bowls may be durable, but they often look too industrial for the home, and not all are dishwasher-safe.
- Automatic or electronic drinking fountains are overly complicated, difficult to maintain, and often rely on electricity, which can also raise safety concerns. For a need as simple as drinking water, they feel unnecessary. After all, even humans don’t drink from electronic devices. Why pets?
We believe pets should drink the way we do — with safe, durable, and beautiful materials like ceramics and glass. Filling water manually isn’t a chore but a moment of care — a small ritual that reminds us why we have pets.
That’s why we invented the BOBO & BOWL: a single-formed floating glass disc with a beautifully crafted high-fire ceramic bowl. Simple, hygienic, and elegant — keeping water fresh and clean, fur dry without unnecessary complexity.

We are a newly founded designer brand, and like many first-time creators, we face the challenge of covering the upfront costs of initial production. Kickstarter allows us to fund the minimum order quantities required for manufacturing, while sharing our work directly with people who believe in thoughtful design.

From Ripple to Reality
The inspiration of BOBO & BOWL come from the quiet beauty of water ripples. When we think of water, we see layers of flow, circles of drippled texture, and gentle expansion. Instead of resisting the nature of water, we chose to follow it — to let the bowl embody water itself. The result is a design that feels fluid, natural, and true to its purpose.
Process
From concept sketch to parametric 3D modeling & engineering, from 3D-printed PLA prototypes to hand-made ceramics and glass samples, and finally to mold-formed ceramics — we’ve spent over 10 months prototyping and testing with master ceramic and glass artisans around the world. At TUOC, high standards, quality, and attention to detail are not extras but the baseline.
Now the factories are prepared, and the design is refined. With your support, we can fund the first production run. By backing us, you’ll help TUOC launch its very first product — and be the first to bring the BOBO & BOWL into your home.
Shipping & Fulfillment
We are working with experienced manufacturing and logistics partners to ensure cost-effective, safe and reliable delivery. Each BOBO & BOWL will be carefully packed with outer corrugated cardboard and inner EPE pearl cotton for maximum protection during transport. Orders will be shipped directly from our fulfillment centers to backers worldwide. Tracking numbers will be provided once your package is dispatched.
