Roadmap of the project
1 stage: The Beginning: Arduino & Grow Tent
At first, we focused on automation: using Arduino to control light and ventilation inside a standard grow tent. It helped us test early code, lighting cycles, and temperature control. Meanwhile, we experimented with layouts — sketching and cutting dozens of cardboard mockups to define the ideal size and internal structure of the grow box.
2 stage: First Functional Prototype: Wood + Custom Firmware
The first real prototype was made of wood. It included our custom components and the very first version of our firmware. We completed several full growth cycles in it, which helped us understand what worked and what didn’t. Based on real plants’ feedback (literally), we revised the box size, rearranged internals, and replaced several modules.
3 stage: Mid-Stage Iterations
One intermediate version was made of aluminum — it looked promising but lacked the finish and thermal stability we needed. It confirmed we were moving in the right direction but also pushed us to build better.
Final stage: Master Model: Single Unit at Production Grade
Then we created our master model — built precisely to our updated CAD drawings. We hand-finished the internals and spent weeks fine-tuning element placement and mounts. After multiple reviews with manufacturers, we confirmed: every part of the design is ready for serial production.
