Problem

Common challenges in perspective drawing include misplaced vanishing points, distorted edges, and incorrect object scaling. Difficulties also arise in overlapping objects to show depth, drawing complex shapes accurately, and keeping perspective consistent throughout the artwork. Moreover, creating a realistic sense of depth using shading and managing a natural viewer’s perspective can be problematic. Ensuring consistent lighting and shadow effects, along with using precise drawing tools and techniques, are also essential for achieving a convincing perspective.

We have previously launched 9 tools, with 3 hand-size tools. We have developed another set of tools that supports combined use that includes a function designed for creating multiple points of perspective in drawings. These tools are portable and precise, providing a user-friendly experience that enables a broad range of users, including artists and designers, to explore various creative possibilities.

The Exlicon Lock Tool Set, which includes Square, Pentagon, and Hexagon tools, provides users with enhanced flexibility in perspective drawings through their interlocking capability.

With different locking variations, users can create diverse visual effects using different types of perspectives to enhance their creations by providing proportion accuracy & realistic depth of space.

The Tool Set is made with lightweight stainless steel material equipped with angle measurements, portability, and locking variations, allowing you to explore one, two, three, four point or more perspectives at ease. It also comes with different measurement rulers and 3 mm marker lines, allowing flexibility to create various geometric shapes like hexagon, pentagon and octagon.

Perspective drawing – a technique in Art, to portray three-dimensional objects and environments on a two-dimensional surface, mimicking human visual perception. 

The Exlicon Lock – Perspective Tool Set that makes perspective drawing more fun, precise and proportional.

One to four point perspective lines can be formed when the square tool is connected either to the pentagon or hexagon tool. The unique feature of this tool set makes it a perfect fit for diverse design tool disciplines like product, architecture, and interior design. Particularly addresses to their specific needs, offering precise and accurate visualization.

Allow locking from both Hexagon and Pentagon tools.
What can it draw?

The Square Tool can draw:
– Squares sizing from 10 mm (smallest) to 100 mm (largest).  
– Circles ranging from 4.1 mm (smallest) to 127 mm (largest) in radius.
– Octagons’ side lengths range from 4.1 mm (smallest) to 37.3 mm (largest).
– Triangles sizing from 20 mm (smallest) to 90 mm (largest).

One side of Square Tool has Pentagon Markings, and another side has Hexagon Markings.

• Hollow / Solid pentagon markings are used to draw 5° / 10° perspective lines.
• Hollow & Solid hexagon markings are used to draw 10° perspective lines with further vanishing points.

The square tool is designed 100 mm x 100 mm in diameter. 

What can it draw?
The holes and lines on the pentagon tool allow for the drawing of different sizes of perfect shapes, including pentagon, circle, and isosceles triangle.

Multiple Isosceles Triangles can be crafted. 

There are two sets of protractors ranging from 0° to 275° degrees in 5° and 10° degree increments. Using center as midpoint, it can create perspectives that are:

• drawn with a 5° OR 10° degree increments
• a combination of both 5° AND 10° degree increments
• assist in drawing various kinds of perspectives

There are two rulers (in Metric and Imperial System) available in the Pentagon tool:

• A centimeter ruler with a length of 6 cm / 60 mm.
• An inch ruler with a length of 2.44 inches, displays measurements in checked marks.

The tool has 7 line holes, each with a 3 mm width and ranging in length from 14 mm to 57.5 mm, designed for easy use with marker pens.

What is the size of the Pentagon Tool?
The pentagon tool is designed 100 mm x 95 mm.  

• Side Length is 61.8 mm.
• Pentagon Apothem is 42.5 mm. 
• The Circumcircle Radius is 52.5 mm.

What can it draw?
It is able to draw various sizes of hexagons, circles, equilateral triangles, 3D Shapes and complex shapes.

The holes and lines on the hexagon tool can create:

Able for you to draw loads of equilateral triangles.

Cubes: Side length ranges from 8.3 mm (smallest) to 43.2 mm (largest)
Pyramid: Able to create pyramid shapes

On the side with the CONCAVE lock: 
The protractor has a range of 0° to 180° degrees in 10° degree increments.

On the side with the CONVEX lock: 
The protractor markings range from 0° to 90° degrees then loop back in 0° degree.

What is the size of the Hexagon Tool?
The hexagon tool is 100 mm in diameter.
– Side Length is 50 mm.
– Hexagon Apothem is 43.3 mm. 
– The Circumcircle Radius is 50 mm.

Points to note when using Square + Hexagon/Pentagon Tool:
*All Tools in the Exlicon Lock Tool Set can be used individually. 
*The Square Tool can only be connected to one tool (Pentagon OR Hexagon tool) at a time.

Pentagon:
*Pentagon Tool needs to attach to the side with Pentagon Markings on the Square Tool of the Square Tool to create perspective drawing.

You are also able to create a combined 5° + 10° degrees together. This can be created when the Pentagon Tool is first placed and locked on the left side, then swiftly placed and locked on the right side of the Square Tool.

Hexagon:
Hexagon Tool needs to attach to the side with Hexagon Markings on the Square Tool to create perspective drawing.

Even when used on its own, the Hexagon Tool enables users to draw three-dimensional shapes or drawings.

Stainless Steel 
The tool set is skillfully made from high-quality stainless steel, ensuring its durability and exceptional resistance to corrosion, rust, and everyday wear and tear, even with frequent usage.

Genuine Leather Pouch is designed to accommodate tools of all sizes, allowing you to conveniently store your set of three tools together. Additionally, it provides space for storing other small-sized tools alongside them, ensuring that all your design tools are kept organized and easily accessible whenever needed.

Mini Pentagon Disc is a smaller version of Pentagon Tool, only about 50 x 50 mm in size. It has similar functions to the normal version, but is more portable and can be used to draw smaller perspective drawings and measurements.

Mini Hexagon Disc is a smaller version of Hexagon tool, only 50 x 50 mm in size. It can also be used to draw various graphics and perspective drawings. Different from the original version, the perspective lines are spaced 12 degrees apart. It is easy to carry around, lightweight but fully functional.

Mini Square Disc is a miniature Square Tool, about 50 x 50 mm in size. It is small but fully functional, convenient for drawing various geometric shapes, and can also be used with other mini tools to draw various perspective drawings.

MINI LOCK SET

The Mini Lock offers similar functions to the Exlicon Lock. To unlock the full functionality, consider collecting a complete set of the Mini Lock.

Mini Lock Set is made of brass. As mini versions of Exlicon Lock Tools, they are designed to be a lightweight version that is easy to carry. Each tool measures only 50 x 50 mm, small but still fully functional, and can be used to draw small perspective drawings and various patterns.

Exlicon MX includes Aerospace Aluminum Long Wing, Aerospace Aluminum Curve Wing, and Aerospace Aluminum Base. It is a tool set that combines a ruler, compass, protractor and golden ratio tool. It does not have a sharp point, and its high stability ensures it does not move around while drawing multi-shapes. It solves the problem of having a limited radius by allowing infinitely extendable rulers. From 10mm up to 475 mm in radius on an A0 paper. The magnetic design connects the wings and base to create multiple shapes with over 100 sizes, from 10mm to 475mm in diameter.
