No assembly required and zero snap-fit needed to make it work. By folding 2 diagonal corners, thanks to the magnetic attraction that enables all 4 corners to stick to each other, a piece of flat silicon rubber has turned into a nouveau all-purpose FoldiBox.

8 pieces of Neodymium Magnets (NdFeB), the strongest permanent magnets with ultra-high magnetic properties and high heat-resistance, are inserted to FoldiBox to keep it remain intact and to withstand high heat to provide a good insulation between the hot cookware and the tabletop, and most of all, to be dishwasher safe.

Protect your table from heat damage and food stains.

Made of food-grade silicon rubber with heat-resistant up to 300°F (i.e.  150°C), unfolded FoldiBox is a great insulation between a cookware and a table. In addition, because of its weight, FoldiBox can be used to cover the paper lid of the cup noodles while noodles are being cooked inside the cup.

Moreover, due to the anti-slip feature of silicon rubber, FoldiBox is equipped with special grips to prevent cookware from sliding on the table.  What’s more, when transferring the cookware with FoldiBox to other surfaces, the embedded magnets will firmly stick to the bottom of the metal pots to provide ready protection.

* Since FoldiBox is a collapsible box made of a piece of flat silicon rubber embedded with magnets,  it can only hold small amount of liquid not exceeding 2 cm water level at the max. Also, it is not intended to be used as an airtight container.

 Inorganic Silver Antimicrobial Ag+ Formula from Japan 

Added with the special inorganic silver antimicrobial Ag+ formula “IONPURE” made by Ishzuka Glass Co., Ltd in Japan, FoldiBox remove bacteria and odors effectively.

IONPURE® is a glass material that combines silver ions with antibacterial activity. It is normally added to the resin to strengthen the endurance of the composition of the glass network through a special processing procedure to control the chemical resistance of the glass, so that the glass can be slightly soluble to water to gradually release metal ions. Metal ions is crucial as it is capable of preventing bacterial reproduction and bacterial proliferation, and thus to achieve antibacterial effects.

The surface of the microorganism itself is negatively charged, and the positively charged antibacterial metal ions are drawn to the surface of the microorganism. Because of the charge imbalance, it will break the cell wall.

When the antibacterial metal ion enters the microorganism, it will react with the enzyme in the microorganism, inhibit the activity of the enzyme and prevent its division and reproduction. These interactions will make the antibacterial metal ions to effectively kill bacteria.

The qualified sub-contractor is carefully selected after several visits to the plant for on-site inspections. Located in northern Taiwan, this sub-contractor has been in the business for more than 30 years. Particularly, this plant specializes in the production of various silicone products and has exported thousands of them to the customers around the globe.  

1SO 9001 certified, the production procedures of the sub-contractor are in full compliance with the environmental regulations. Thanks to the geographical location, the Design Team can constantly visit the plant to closely monitor the progress of the prototyping and subsequent production. 

FoldiBox consists of 2 major material; food-grade heat-resistant silicone rubber and high-temperature resistant Neodymium Magnets (NdFeB). In order to make these 2 material work with each other effectively, it requires complicated manufacturing procedures.

In addition, countless tests and inspections have been carried out to ensure the desired outcome is achieved.

Hence, in addition to the cost of raw materials, the complex manufacturing procedures, and subsequent tests & inspections have drastically increased the total costs of FoldiBox.

Nevertheless, thanks to the hard work from all parties involved such as the subcontractors, material suppliers, and the Team, we are able to present FoldiBox to you.
