FoodTusker is a smart food container that keeps track of your leftovers, so you never forget them. With FoodTusker’s patent pending system you log food that you store, and it will remind you when it is due to expire.

It’s simple. You can track your food in only 3 steps.

We all do it. We start with the best of intentions. After pouring your heart into cooking a beautiful gourmet meal or eating at an expensive restaurant, we want to save whatever is leftover. Why wouldn’t you?
But then life happens and we forget. After all, we are all busy people. Unfortunately, a few weeks later we’ve now to get face the disgusting rotting mess that has grown in our refrigerator. So now end up two problems: wasted food and disgusting cleanup. You’re not the only one.
Did you know that between 30 and 40% of food is wasted on the way from the farm to our kitchen tables? According to ReFED, in 2023 and in the US alone, the cost of wasted food was $261 billion. In addition, this has contributed to 154 million metric tons of CO2 emissions–the equivalent of 36 million passenger vehicles over the course of the year. This even more tragic when you consider that over 780 million people face hunger and 2.4 billion people are food insecure worldwide. Altogether the economic impact is substantial–over $1T in direct economic loss and $2.6T when accounting for environmental and social costs.

You don’t need to use the FoodTusker with the containers. It can attach to nearly anything. You can attach it to a foil-wrapped or plastic-wrapped food. Or you can even attach it to the containers you already own. No need to replace them.

We get it. Not everyone wants to download another app or break out their phone whenever they want to store their leftovers. Introducing manual mode. While you won’t get the smart features like researched expiration periods, temperature tracking, household coordination, or mobile notifications, it’s really easy to set. Just twist the bezel to choose your expiration period and place on the container.

The FoodTusker tracker uses an e-ink screen that only uses power when it updates. It is powered by a 900 mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery. In addition, the tracker goes into deep sleep mode waking up periodically to take temperature measurements and when it senses motion. As a result, the device can last over 2 months on a single charge.

If you use the FoodTusker without a transparent container, the display let’s everyone immediately see what’s inside and how long its got before it goes bad. It’s not just cool looking, it helps everyone in the household stay coordinated on the leftovers.

Operating the FoodTusker is effortless and fun. Just twist the dial to adjust settings and click down on the bezel to select. The screen is an e-ink display which has near paper-like resolution and does not require backlighting. This translates into a display that’s real easy on the eyes.

There are millions of food items in the database. Whether you are looking up common food items like lasagne or branded food like Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, we got you covered. We also have hundreds of thousands of restaurant menu items from hundreds of restaurant chains.

When the food is just about to expire you’ll get a notification to take action to eat it or throw it out. You can also adjust when you get this notification according to your own preferences.

Wouldn’t you like to know all the leftovers you have? No need to go to the refrigerator, opening containers and unwrapping things to find out what you have. You can see it all in one glance.

Maybe you have an old refrigerator that struggles to maintain a consistent temperature or maybe you frequently get power brownouts. The FoodTusker polls the temperature every hour. And while a refrigerator may block wireless signals, the FoodTusker will wait until it detects light or movement, before it tries to send temperature log data.

Since FoodTusker knows what leftovers you have it can suggest recipes you can make with those leftovers as ingredients.

You may have planned to eat those leftover cupcakes, but someone in your household may have beat you to it. You’ll get a notification when someone has eaten or tossed any of the tracked food.

See how well much food and money you are saving. See what you’ve historically eaten and what you’ve thrown out. See the temperature at which you’ve stored your different leftovers.

Don’t have a lot of room for food storage containers? The containers nest inside each other like Russian Matryoshka dolls so you save on space.

The containers are dishwasher safe so you can cleaning them is a snap.
