The printing speed of THUNDER can reach up to 300mm/s with acceleration of 5000mm/s² for X-axis and 4000mm/s² for Y-axis.

 Thunder is equipped with dual CPU processor, one for algorithm processing, heating control, screen display and etc, and the other CPU for realizing the closed-loop control of X-axis and Y-axis. Through the combination of dual CPU processor, Thunder achieves high efficiency tasks allocation management.

Both the X-axis and Y-axis of Geeetech Thunder are equipped with closed-loop drive. Compared with open-loop drive,when using the same stepper motor, closed-loop drive can produce greater torque, allowing the printer to intelligently monitor the printing process and response real time, the printed model is not easy to dislocate.

To cope with high-speed printing, Geeetech upgrades several aspects for THUNDER’s extrusion system.

Geeetech THUNDER specially designed a professional damping structure for the Y axis, which intelligently manages the speed changing and largely reduces the vibration rate of the machine. It allows smoother movement for the hotbed.

Heat dissipation is one of the bottlenecks in high-speed printing. Geeetech Thunder designed two high-volume heat dissipation fans on the hot end. What’s more, to achieve high-speed single-layer printing, Thunder also added two larger auxiliary part cooling fans. These 4 fans can be turned on at the same time with the “One-button Strong Cooling Mode” function.

Geeetech R&D team has spent more than two years in developing and improving the Thunder 3D printer. To ensure high-speed printing and excellent printing quality, Thunder adopts all-metal body to increase stability, and proceed the overall structure numbers of wear resistance, reinforcement, shock absorption testing and adjustment, greatly improves the reliability and durability of the machine.

THUNDER is designed with two independent Z-axis, each with independent photoelectric limit sensors that automatically eliminate height errors on the left and right sides of the X-axis, significantly improving the print quality of the model. Geeetech employs photoelectric limit switch for X/Y/Z axis, more durable and not easy to get damaged. 

THUNDER 3D printer adopts ergonomic design for better operation experience on the screen display. It provides four preset printing modes:Low Speed Mode, Normal Mode, Fast Mode, and Crazy mode. You can choose or change printing mode based on your printing requirements.  

THUNDER also provides a user mode, in which you can use Smartto Kit to adjust core printer parameters and share your printing parameters with other THUNDER users.

THUNDER hot bed supports auto-leveling and manual leveling modes.

The Thunder 3D printer adopts fixed hot bed which can effectively solve the drawbacks of the traditional hot bed requiring frequent leveling. The hot bed build plate uses PC film +spring steel sheet + rubber magnetic plate design, offering stronger model adhesion and easier to remove the model.
