What if a tool could hold a story, a legacy that spans generations, and becomes a part of your own adventure?

That’s exactly what this knife represents for me. Its story began in 1925 when my grandfather crafted his first knife. With it, he passed down memories and values, from him to my father, and now to me.

It stands as a testament to resilience, intrepid exploration, and the heart of a genuine adventurer. This isn’t just a tool—it captures the triumphs of brave souls, the camaraderie around a campfire, and the raw beauty of nature itself.

Growing up, the love for the wilderness was part of our family story, passed down from my grandfather. He was a dedicated hiker, his pocket knife always at his side, playing a vital role in his escapades. It wasn’t just a tool, but a trusted companion – cutting firewood, prepping meals, always handy when he needed it. My father carried this legacy forward, blazing his own trails with his trusty knife.

Their stories and their fervor for these knives have had a profound influence on me. I saw these knives as more than just functional objects; they were symbolic artifacts tying us to our roots and our persistent pursuit of outdoor adventures. Inspired by this, I embarked on a journey to design a pocket knife that would reflect this enduring legacy.

In respecting its original soul, I’ve evolved its design to enhance both its functionality and aesthetics. Maintaining its straightforward essence, it’s been reworked into a reliable sidekick for everyday challenges.

Every detail, the materials we select, the manufacturing procedure, all synergize to shape this one-of-a-kind product. These aspects are not just captivating – they symbolize the detailed planning, accuracy, and dedication that drive us in the creation of this practical tool.

My pocket knife’s blade is a tough 2.9 inches (7.3cm) of AUS-8 or 15N20 steel. It’s just right for detailed work, and at 0.11 inches (0.2794mm) thick, it can handle tougher jobs too. The blade has a partially serrated edge and a clean mirror finish.

The handle, made from black walnut, is a solid 2.8 inches (7.2cm). With the blade, that makes for a total length of 5.7 inches (14.5cm), easy to handle for long stretches. And don’t forget about the natural leather sheath – it’s not just practical protection, it’s part of the look. This pocket knife is all about balance, both in weight and function, making it a reliable piece of everyday gear.

For those seeking an easy-to-maintain and dependable tool, AUS-8 is an excellent choice. With a hardness of around 57-59HRC, it’s built to tackle your everyday tasks. But if you’re inclined towards aesthetics and better edge retention, the Damascus 15N20 is a top-tier choice in its class, boasting an HRC of around 59-61. This speaks to the unmatched quality for those with a discerning eye for craftsmanship.

The knife features a robust fixed blade encased in a black walnut handle, giving it a tough yet stylish look. Its ergonomic design, complemented by a leather sheath, ensures optimal comfort and functionality during use.

Our sheath, crafted from natural leather, was chosen over PU leather for its lasting durability and lower environmental impact. It offers three versatile carrying options: around the neck, on a belt, or attached to a backpack, tailoring to your preferences
