Hello from Leather Studio Third! Welcome to our new project, “Indigo Leather Evolution II.”

In our previous campaign, we introduced the world’s first natural indigo-dyed leather minimal wallet collection, which received tremendous support from backers worldwide. Our “Fukuyama Leather,” dyed with natural indigo used in traditional Bingo Kasuri crafts from Fukuyama City, Hiroshima, earned high praise for its unique combination of denim-like texture and the beautiful aging quality of genuine leather.

Today, we’re excited to present our new products that blend traditional Japanese indigo dyeing techniques with contemporary design: Apple Watch bands and organizer trays.

Where Technology Meets Tradition with Elegance

A story that begins at your wrist.

In the midst of busy days, there’s a small joy in glancing at your wrist—a reflection of your values that go beyond mere functionality, a testament to your distinctive choice.

In our digital-saturated world, our Apple Watch bands bring warmth to cold technology. The rich depth of hand-dyed indigo provides a professional impression in business settings while asserting refined individuality in casual environments.

Unlike typical silicone or nylon materials, our natural leather is gentle on your skin, forming a unique patina over time. Like a mirror reflecting your life journey, the leather’s changing expression becomes your personal story. From the day you start wearing it, a new history between you and your band begins.

During your rushed morning routine, a brief moment in meetings, coffee time with friends, or special occasions with family—this band quietly yet confidently expresses your individuality at every moment.

Fusion of Japanese Tradition and Modern Technology

Our Apple Watch bands use natural indigo-dyed leather, with each piece meticulously hand-dyed by skilled artisans. By using natural indigo rather than chemical dyes, we’ve achieved beautiful colors that resist transferring and develop deeper richness with use.

Deep Blue & Light Blue

We’re continuing the popular two-color lineup from our previous project:

  • Deep Blue: A rich, deep indigo that projects sophistication suitable for formal occasions.
  • Light Blue: A bright, refreshing shade that gives a light, casual impression.

Compatible with All Apple Watch Models

We’ve prepared two sizes to fit all Apple Watch models:

  • 42mm band: Compatible with Apple Watch 38mm, 40mm, 41mm, and 42mm (Series 10)
  • 46mm band: Compatible with Apple Watch 42mm, 44mm, 45mm, 46mm (Series 10), and 49mm (Ultra)

Three-Level Wrist Size Adjustment

To balance simplicity with style, we’ve intentionally limited adjustment holes to just three. This design ensures the clasp always sits perfectly at the back of your wrist.

  • Size S: 130mm-150mm (5.12 inch – 5.91 inch)
  • Size M: 150mm-170mm (5.91 inch – 6.69 inch)
  • Size L: 170mm-190mm (6.69 inch – 7.48 inch)

Black Clasp for Stylish Contrast

We’ve adopted a stainless steel black clasp that adds a stylish touch. This contrast further enhances the beauty of the indigo-dyed leather.

The Comfort of Beautiful Organization

The invisible stress of scattered belongings. The solution isn’t just storage—it’s a beautiful, functional “place” for everything.

Our organizer tray is more than a simple catchall. It’s a quiet companion that protects your valuables and brings order to your daily life. Keys, watches, rings, earbuds—seeing these essential items beautifully arranged brings peace of mind and streamlines your busy morning routine.

The reassurance of having everything in one place when you return home. Freedom from the frustration of searching for misplaced items. The satisfaction of being prepared for tomorrow. The soft texture and deep color of natural indigo-dyed leather adds warmth to your interior, enhancing your room’s atmosphere while remaining functional.

The thoughtful design allowing you to charge your Apple Watch is a triumph of simplicity that enriches your daily life. Before bedtime, arranging your items on the tray might become a new ritual, quietly marking the end of your day.

This fusion of beauty and functionality brings small but significant satisfaction to your everyday experience.

Harmony of Function and Design

The organizer tray is a leather tray designed for smartly storing your Apple Watch, keys, rings, and other small items. Its simple yet practical design complements any interior.

Smart Charging Solution

We’ve created a hole in one corner of the organizer tray to accommodate a charging cable. This clever feature allows you to charge your Apple Watch while it rests on the tray. Free yourself from cable clutter and create a refined space.

Durability and Texture

The carefully processed indigo-dyed leather develops more character with use, allowing you to enjoy its unique flavor over time. The uneven texture and non-uniform coloring unique to hand-dyed products increases the value of each one-of-a-kind piece.

Fukuyama Leather is cowhide dyed with natural indigo rather than chemical dyes. Each piece undergoes a painstaking process of hand-wringing, dyeing, and drying to create beautiful marble patterns that are completely unique.

We pursue not just design, but “leather products that are truly easy to use.” As “leather concierges,” our mission is to convey the joy of leather and provide new value to people’s lifestyles.

We are a collective of leather craftsmen with a workshop in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima. Our story began with a passion for connecting tradition with innovation.

The Craft and Spirit of Artisans

Fukuyama City has long been known for its traditional craft of “Bingo Kasuri,” where natural indigo dyeing techniques have been passed down through generations. However, as times changed, these techniques faced the risk of gradually disappearing. We sought to revive this traditional technique in innovative ways to share the excellence of Japanese craftsmanship with the world.

In our workshop, leathercraft artisans who face each customer with sincerity gather under the motto: “Never say we can’t,” “Always deliver something impressive,” and “Always stay cool.” Each craftsman takes responsibility for all processes, from material selection to wringing, dyeing, drying, and product creation, putting their soul into their work.

The Birth of “Fukuyama Leather”

“Fukuyama Leather” was born from our desire to share the pride and techniques of our hometown, Fukuyama, with more people. Our reason for using natural indigo instead of chemical dyes isn’t simply because it’s “traditional.” After repeated trial and error, we became convinced that natural indigo dyeing is less prone to color transfer and maintains its beautiful color longer than chemical dyes.

Our Vision for This Project

The support and feedback we received from many people during our previous Kickstarter project was tremendously encouraging. Through the success of our minimal wallets, we realized the demand for products that fuse traditional Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary lifestyles.

“Indigo Leather Evolution II” began with our desire to create products that would blend into your daily life and be loved for a long time, building on that experience. Apple Watch bands and organizer trays symbolize the beautiful coexistence of digital devices and traditional crafts.

We aim not only to sell products but also to rediscover the value of traditional Japanese crafts and serve as a bridge to pass on their beauty and techniques to the next generation. Through this project, we also hope to contribute to creating local employment and preserving traditional techniques.

We sincerely hope that this project, created together with all of you, will bring new possibilities to the future of Japanese craftsmanship.
