As a father of two young children, I always carried water bottles with me. I knew the importance of keeping my kids Jack and Jacqueline (and me, Joe) hydrated, but was very aware of chemicals that leach into drinks from plastic bottles.
I thought to use metal bottles but these, by themselves, had their downsides – they were hard to clean, and as I discovered even stainless-steel does stain, it is porous, so can alter the taste of your favorite drink.
So, I went in search of an all-round cleaner vessel and looked for a glass alternative due to its purity, but one that would also be near unbreakable. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any – not even after trawling the web. And so, the idea for the J/Bottle was born. If you read about me and my kids above, you’ll see where we got the “J” from.
