Our engineers have successfully gone above and beyond to make Kamingo as lightweight as possible. At a total weight of just 2.3kg (motor: 0.9 kg, battery: 1.4kg), it’s about as light as a MacBook.

We wanted to deliver exceptional energy density, to let you ride as far as possible, with a battery that’s as compact as possible.

Kamingo runs on a removable 266Wh EV-grade battery, powered by the same 21700 cells found in electric vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.

Most conversion kits apply fixed pressure to the tire, which can lead to skidding, slippage, or tire wear. Kamingo avoids all that with Pressure-Adaptive Technology (PAT™).

PAT™ uses built-in pressure sensors to always maintain the perfect pressure level against the bike tire, in real-time, as you ride. It does this by pressing the assist wheel harder (or softer) against your bike tire when as needed.

When you’re riding, the last thing you want to worry about is what could go wrong. That’s why Kamingo is built with a Smart Safety Suite to keep you and your bike secure—not only during, but also after your ride.

Kamingo constantly monitors movement, for your safety.

If your bicycle tilts more than 45°, its built-in IMU sensor will automatically detect a fall, lift the assist wheel, and immediately cut power to the motor to prevent further injury or runaway movement.

Staying safe means staying in control, even when things go sideways.

It may be easy to install and remove. But it’s just as easy to lock in place—all thanks to Kamingo’s Bluetooth-operated quick-lock, which securely mounts the motor onto the base mount.

Simply lock the motor in place wirelessly via a Bluetooth connection, paired with the Kamingo app on your smartphone, and voilá, you’re the only person who can take it off.

Small debris like rocks or twigs might seem harmless, but they can wreak havoc on your system if ignored. 

Kamingo’s sensors detect obstructions on your bicycle’s tire before they become an issue. When detected, the motor automatically disengages from the wheel, and you are notified with an alert on the controller screen.

This lets you address the issue immediately, saving your Kamingo from potential damage, prolonging its lifetime, and keeping your ride smooth. Always.

Kamingo’s battery is as innovative as the rest of the system. Built using high-grade 21700 EV battery cells, it’s more than likely to outlast your bike—engineered to last through hundreds of charge cycles without significant degradation.

Beyond powering your ride, it’s detachable and also doubles as a USB-C power bank which you can use to charge your phone or other devices when you’re on the go.

Kamingo’s motor unit is IP66-rated, meaning it’s built to resist heavy water pressure and prevent dust from getting in.
The assist wheel also features a smart tire tread drainage design. It actively channels water away, to ensure strong grip with your bike’s tire and prevent slippage.

Going downhill or easing off the throttle? We’ve incorporated a Regenerative Braking System (RBS) into the motor component to capture kinetic energy produced during braking or downhill rides, and use it to charge the battery and maximize your range.

Kamingo works by mounting a lightweight friction-drive motor above your rear tire, fully controllable from your handlebar.

When activated, the assist wheel on the motor drops down, presses against the tire, and spins to turn your bicycle wheel (and give you a push) as you ride.
