You know that smell when your sponge’s gone too far? That was my breaking point. I couldn’t un-see it, and I couldn’t un-smell it.
We started by hand — cutting, sewing, and testing materials one by one. From plush microfiber for gentle cleaning to stainless-steel mesh for tough scrubbing, we explored every texture, thickness, and shape. The kitchen counter became our workshop: stacks of fabric, bars of soap in experimental molds, and dozens of colorful prototypes.

As we refined the sponge, the idea of a floating design took hold. We 3D-printed bases, tested different attachment systems, and slowly honed in on the magic of magnets. The first versions were clunky — but once we found the perfect balance, Levity truly came to life.
But the sponge itself wasn’t the only issue. I was tired of constantly tossing plastic soap bottles. On top of that, how many times have you put liquid dish soap on a sponge only to have half of it just wash off when you wet the sponge? It’s doubly wasteful! So we added a soap pocket to eliminate the need for plastic bottles in our house and get just the right amount of soap each time it was used.

Once we discovered the perfect magnetic balance, everything clicked — Levity literally started to float.

From there, every detail was perfected: reinforced stitching, double padding for structure and soap efficiency, and a modern color palette that felt right at home in any kitchen.

After countless tests, tweaks, and kitchen trials, that first ugly problem turned into something surprisingly beautiful — a sponge that stays fresh, dries fast, and gives you just enough soap to make doing the dishes just a little more satisfying.
