Last year, we introduced the Lofree Flow, marking our debut in the low-profile mechanical keyboard industry – and it was a resounding success with 1,381 backers. Since then, Lofree has expanded into major online platforms like Amazon, and entered offline distribution in North America, Europe, and Japan, achieving over 50,000 units in sales. “Smoothest” has become the signature recognition users now associate with Lofree’s low-profile mechanical keyboards.
Through valuable feedback on Flow from our loyal Lofree community, we discovered that while our human-centered design philosophy was appreciated, we hadn’t fully met everyone’s needs. Quite many fans would prefer shine-through keycaps, a 2.4GHz wireless connection, and customizable key mapping. Others preferred a lighter-force POM switch for extended typing, and many felt the price point was a bit high, leading to hesitations.
Now, we’re excited to return with an even more affordable successor for everyone, the Lofree Flow Lite.
High-profile mechanical keyboard vs. Low-profile mechanical keyboard. Who’s going to be your daily driver?
“Let your hands relax” is a common desire among long-term keyboard users who have experienced discomfort. The Flow Lite features a lower front height than the original Flow, reducing wrist strain and allowing for faster and easier typing. It’s a significant leap forward in ergonomic design.
However, the typing experience of many low-profile switches on the market tends to be disappointing. Compared to the solid feel of standard switches, users often find themselves torn between the sleek design of low-profile keyboards and their looser, less satisfying typing feel.
In fact, the smaller cavity of low-profile switches can be a natural advantage, delivering a denser feel and sound—provided that the switch and structure are finely tuned.
Let’s dive deeper into the secrets!
Co-developed with Kailh, the Full-POM Switch in Flow has elevated the “Smoothest” typing experience to new heights for our users. As you enjoy the tactile pleasure of typing, our switches adapt and become even smoother with use over time.
Soon after, we noticed users frequently discussing ways to reduce long-term typing fatigue and minimize typing noise during everyday use. So, we teamed up with Kailh once again to develop new solutions without sacrificing the smoothest typing experience. And we’re proud to say, we’ve succeeded.
When we first defined the Ghost Switch with a 50gf actuation force, we didn’t foresee a demand for a lighter option. However, after conducting extensive user surveys, we found that a significant number of people experienced typing fatigue.
Building on the original Full-POM materials and structure of the Ghost Switch, we made continuous adjustments and discovered that a 40gf actuation force, paired with a 2.8mm actuation travel, was the closest to our ideal golden ratio. Reducing the force further would compromise the switch’s smoothness. Ultimately, we lowered the actuation force from 50gf to 40gf, significantly reducing finger joint fatigue during long typing sessions.
We carefully crafted the Specter Switch specifically for the Flow Lite, refining every detail. After reducing the actuation force from 50g → 40g and redesigning the keyboard, we tailored the switches to enhance both the mold and materials. The result? A perfect harmony of touch and sound, a golden balance that shines every keystroke. The Flow Lite + Specter combo is combined to deliver the ultimate low-profile keyboard experience you’ve been waiting for.
*Specter Switches come standard with all Flow Lite keyboards.
Lofree understands that typing on a mechanical keyboard is an art for your fingertips. Some embrace the lively rhythm of each keystroke, while others crave the soothing silence that transforms typing into a meditative experience.
That’s why Hades came out! Each keystroke is cushioned by silicone dampeners, magically silencing the sound and allowing you to type with divine ease and serene artistry.
For those moments when quiet and comfort are paramount, the Hades silent switches offer a serene typing experience without the audible click, keeping you focused and productive without disturbing those around you.
*Specter and Hades Switches are fully compatible with the FLOW keyboard as well.
Lofree Flow pioneered the first-ever combination of a gasket mount and Full-POM switches in the low-profile mechanical keyboard industry. We’ve carefully refined the classic Gasket Mount specifically for the Flow Lite.
Designed to accommodate both 50gf and 40gf switches, it offers the flexibility to match your unique typing style. We’ve also upgraded the Gasket Mount’s sound-dampening layer, enriching each keystroke with a richer, more satisfying tone.
Lofree strives to create a sleek 2 ㎡ design that enhances and organizes your workspace with style and functionality.
For Lofree, simplicity isn’t just about looks, it’s about creating a minimalistic design without compromising the core typing experience. We strive to make Flow Lite accessible to as many people as possible.

Blend practicality with fun, the added aluminum volume wheel is simpler and more intuitive to use.
Lofree Lite was born from the Flow, evolving through an efficient process that reduced R&D costs.
Meanwhile, we transitioned the body material from aluminum to ABS, adding a textured surface to maintain its soothing touch.
Now, let’s take a look behind the scenes at the production of Flow Lite!
Unlike round keys with small, cramped spaces that can strain your fingers during fast typing, Flow Lite’s keycaps are designed to provide more comfortable finger contact.
The key spacing is thoughtfully designed to prevent a cramped layout, keeping your hands relaxed. Both the 84-key and 100-key versions follow standard desktop spacing, helping to reduce finger strain and discomfort.
If you want a durable, textured typing experience and keycap characters that stay sharp, PBT keycaps are the way to go.
Our PBT material provides a more comfortable matte texture and a delicate, tactile feel – 100% durable and non-slip.
We use PBT keycaps for their great feel, but since they don’t allow light through, visibility in the dark can be an issue. To solve this, we’ve adopted a two-tone design: the letter parts are made from PC for backlighting, while the rest remains PBT to ensure the best typing experience.
This time, we’re offering 4 popular keycap designs, including the classic retro-themed keycaps from the Flow series! Now available for both 84 and 100-key layouts.
Plus, the Flow series is universally compatible with these keycaps.
**Please note that the four themed keycap designs are not shine-through (Keycaps with pattern require different craft).
If you’re a numbers enthusiast, the 100-key layout offers a dedicated numeric pad to meet all your needs!
