When we first powered on the Ghost prototype, its stunning clarity took our breath away—but getting it just right was no easy feat.

Bringing Hypace Ghost to life meant solving two key challenges: securing high-quality polycarbonate material production and ensuring a stable supply of premium optical micro-switches.

With access to top-tier optical micro-switches, Hypace Ghost is engineered to meet the highest standards in gaming, delivering exceptional precision and durability right out of the box. Meanwhile, crafting its signature transparent design was a challenge of its own. Achieving consistent production of high-quality PC material kept us from announcing it earlier.

Now, after months of persistence, we’ve locked in stable production. To ensure uniform light diffusion and long-term yellowing resistance, PC shell undergoes a specialized thermal curing process—21 days longer than standard methods—which means shipping will be slightly delayed compared to the Crayon Grey and Jet Black versions.

When we considered lightweight, we looked at the two common approaches in the market:

#1. Magnesium Alloy Shells with Hollowed-Out Designs

Shaving off weight is one thing, but magnesium alloy against your palm? It’s a different story. The moment you touch it—it’s cold, rough, and just feels off. Over time, that discomfort only grows, especially in long gaming sessions. And those hollowed-out Swiss cheese designs? Similar problems: It’s not exactly what your hand wants to hold for hours.

Simply make magnesium the exterior → 38g achievement unlocked. However, as mentioned earlier, we prioritized using polycarbonate as the outer shell to ensure the most skin-friendly touch, abandoning the idea of repurposing the internal frame as the exterior.

This is how architecture taught us to redesign weight, from the blueprint phase, outside-in, inside-out. Only to feel right.
