Hi, we are MakerPi. Before you know it, three products in our Ti-series have been launched. For us, it has yielded great results. This is what motivates us to keep designing and launching more interesting products. Thank you — and a special thanks to our long-time friends who have been with us all along.

This time, we’re introducing the fourth product in our Ti-series — we call it the Tidriver: a titanium ratchet screwdriver.

Traditional ratchet screwdrivers are usually made of steel with a soft rubber coating. But once the rubber wears out or gets damaged, they become less durable, prone to aging and rapid rusting.

The Tidriver is made from Gr5 aerospace-grade titanium alloy—offering exceptional strength while weighing only about 60% of stainless steel. It also features excellent corrosion resistance, staying like new for decades. This is a ratchet screwdriver that can last a lifetime.

The Tidriver sports an ergonomic design, refined through countless design tweaks to nail that sleek, streamlined shape—guaranteeing a comfy, secure grip right where you need it.
And its sandblasted finish? Fine-textured, but grippy enough to keep it from slipping.

Earlier, we designed the first prototype. Its ratchet mechanism was externally visible. In the locked position, it relied solely on a single side pillar for support, making the structure unstable. This one-sided force application resulted in poor durability, causing it to break easily.
After multiple iterations and redesigns, we’ve developed the Tidriver you see now. The ratchet mechanism is now enclosed internally, with locking tabs positioned on both sides of the center. This design distributes the locking forces more evenly and allows it to withstand higher loads—making it both durable and visually appealing.

The innovatively designed four-tab ratchet mechanism with trapezoidal gears ensures even and stable force distribution, while the internal spindle is fitted with two ball bearings to guarantee precise and smooth gear rotation every time

The Tidriver features a highly distinctive brass component—the ratchet mode switch. Perfectly matched with the grip, the self-lubricating property of brass allows one-handed switching between three modes.
1️⃣. One-way drive (tightening): Ratchet locks during forward rotation; reverse to engage.
2️⃣. Bi-directional drive: Ratchet locked in both directions,Used as a regular driver.
3️⃣. One-way removal (loosening): Ratchet locks during reverse rotation; forward to engage.

When the screw is slightly loose, simply switch the brass component to the desired mode and use your thumb and index finger to turn the front half of the Tidriver—boosting efficiency without needing to rotate the entire driver. One-handed operation is all it takes.

When tightening screws at the end or starting to loosen them, the ratchet mechanism gives you extra torque. Just hold the Tidriver handle and turn it back and forth continuously – your job is done without needing to switch hands.

The Tidriver supports 6.35mm (1/4″) bits and features a built-in N52 strong magnet in the bit holder. It securely holds bits in place and helps pick up loose screws—boosting your work efficiency.

The Tidriver features a bit storage compartment at the tail, accommodating 6 short bits and an extension bar. A built-in N52 magnet at the bottom securely holds the stored bits in place. The threaded opening is fitted with a silicone ring to ensure watertight sealing—preventing moisture-induced rust on the bits and keeping the lid securely closed against vibrations.

You might be wondering about the “extension bar” — well, every Tidriver comes with a hardened steel extension bar. When you need extra torque, simply remove the silicone plug on the side, take out the bar from the storage compartment, and insert it into the hole. This lets you apply significantly more torque with ease.

We offer two versions of the Tidriver—choose the one that best fits your preference and work needs:
1. Tidriver: Compact and portable, ideal for most everyday tasks.
2. Tidriver Pro: Extended head design for reaching into tight spaces or deeper work areas.

We also offer a variety of adapter accessories—such as 6.35mm-to-4mm adapters, Universal Joint Adapter, and 105° Angle Adapter—to easily handle various work environments.
Tidriver is more than a screwdriver – I’m sure you’ll discover even more possibilities with it.

The Tidriver comes with a standard sandblasted finish, providing an excellent, non-slip grip and good resistance to scratches.
For the ultimate surface treatment with optional colors, consider upgrading to our vacuum plating service. This process applies a special coating in a vacuum, significantly increasing the strength and wear resistance of the parts while preserving the original sandblasted texture. It is available in three colors: Natural, Gold, and Black.

A beautifully crafted product like this deserves its own protective leather case. Hand-stitched from full-grain leather, I’m sure you’ll love this case.

You might have also noticed the two symmetrical slots on the Tidriver’s grip. As you’ve probably guessed, they’re designed for installing tritium tubes or glass glow tubes – a feature widely used in EDC tools but first applied to a screwdriver. These tubes emit a subtle glow in low-light conditions, helping you instantly locate your Tidriver without turning on a light. And yes, they look pretty cool, don’t they?
