The only AI powered predictive air quality Monitor. Nooku works in real-time to predict unhealthy air and help prevent hidden future health risks.

Good air quality allows for better sleep, increased energy levels, improved concentration and lower risk of allergies.
Let nooku do the worrying so you don’t have to…

Maintaining good air quality in your home can…

Most of us don’t even realize that our indoor air can be 5-times more polluted than outdoor air!

Everyday activities such as cooking and cleaning, as well as pet dander, dust and pollen can all contribute to poor indoor air quality. It might be invisible but we still feel the effects every day!

nooku has 3 modes to suit your lifestyle
nooku is more than just an air quality monitor, it’s also your guide and sidekick on the journey to making your home a healthier environment. Think of nooku as your personal trainer for air quality.

MODE 1 – The Monitor
It couldn’t be simpler – place multiple smaller base Monitors around your home for full air quality coverage in every room. Monitoring temperature, relative humidity, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrous oxides (NOx), stay in control of your home’s air quality with nooku.

Mode 2 – The Guide
Move the Guide when and where it’s most needed. Simply stack the Guide module on top of any monitor to increase nooku’s sensing capabilities (CO2 and PM 1-10) and unlock more engaging experiences via the touch screen.

MODE 3 – The Sidekick
Now it’s time for the magic. Snap on the character cap to transform nooku into your air quality Sidekick. The bear sneezes when there’s too much dust, coughs when chemicals are in the air, and gets sleepy when CO2 levels rise. Take care of nooku and in turn nooku helps you build a healthier home.

We want to make it easy for everyone to understand what is in the air they breathe and how to take active steps to improve it.
Most air quality monitors on the market are confusing to understand. No one wants to be faced with a screen of data that makes no sense. At nooku we’ve decided to do things differently. nooku breaks it down into plain language with our 5 stage scale, and delivers actionable tips and advice straight to your phone.

30-day Good Air Quality Streak? Challenge accepted!
We know that sometimes things can get too serious. Children and adults alike can learn from nooku through gamification and educational content, making air quality fun and exciting.

We know that every household is unique, therefore your air quality monitor needs to keep up with your daily routine.
nooku learns from you and your habits to offer tailored advice at the right time. VOCs always creeping into the living room when cooking dinner? Make sure to close the door and turn on the extractor fan.

From tech savvy parents that want to know the air quality data in every room, to the little ones that want to play – we’ve designed nooku with every family member in mind.

nooku’s patent – pending modular design allows you to easily build the right air quality system for your home.
Simply place the Monitor in as many rooms as you like, moving the Guide when it’s needed most.

Smart Home Compatible
nooku works with your favourite voice assistant and can control other devices such as purifiers and dehumidifiers, only turning them on when and where they are needed most.

Want to know when your room might be at risk of mold, or if it looks like you might have an allergen flare up? Nooku updates you in real time about what’s going on in your home’s air. Tailor your data to suit you, seeing daily, weekly and monthly breakdowns.

See what our testers have to say about nooku.

nooku’s development was partially funded by the Innovate UK Clean Air Programme.
The aim of this programme is to support high-quality research and innovation that will help develop practical solutions for today’s air quality issues and proactively tackle future air quality challenges in order to protect health and support clean growth.

Nooku isn’t just about the product. At the core of our company is the mission to inspire as many people as possible to take control of the air they breathe – and become air quality champions.
Over the full development journey we have already started raising awareness by working with schools in the local area, providing air quality workshops and design related challenges.

Once upon a time…
The project began during COVID lockdown when co-founder Danny Kane became much more aware of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) especially as he had an 18 month old who was struggling with respiratory issues.
As a director of Filament PD, a design and engineering innovation agency – it was a lightning bolt moment when he thought he could combine his expertise in product design and development with a personal motivation to help people understand the risks of poor IAQ and enable them with the technology to improve their home environment.
After onboarding fellow founders and design services business owners Craig Easdale (Orvio: IoT and Electronics) and Stefan Raue (Arceptive: Data Science and Software) the founding nooku team was born.

A couple of years later…
We are ready to introduce nooku to the world. Now with its own dedicated team and office space in Glasgow, Danny’s idea has become reality.

Good ideas don’t just happen overnight! Over the past 2 years the team have given their all to make nooku a reality.
nooku was originally a collaboration between three Glasgow-based product development companies (Filament Pd, Orvio and Arceptive) with expertise in software development, scalable data pipelines / infrastructure, machine learning and product design.
During the project, the team used a human centred design approach and engaged over 500 stakeholders via interviews, surveys and workshops to ensure that the solution truly met their needs.
