N6 & N9C: Deck-Style Controllers for Better Switch™ 2 Play

Written by

N6 & N9C are fully compatible with Nintendo® Switch™ 2, bringing the Switch 2™ Pro Controller feature set to a handheld deck.

Handheld gaming shouldn’t feel cramped, improvised, or tiring.
Yet for many Switch™ 2 players, long sessions still come with sore hands, awkward grips, and constant adjustments that break immersion.

We’ve all been there. The Nintendo® Pro Controller feels great, but takes you out of handheld play. Most options solve one problem by creating another.
That’s the gap we set out to fix.

abxylute N6 is built to make Nintendo® Switch 2 feel balanced, steady, and natural in your hands. Its full-size ergonomic grip supports your palms and wrists, giving you a proper two-handed feel that stays comfortable during longer sessions.

At the same time, N6 doesn’t trade comfort for capability. It brings the features players actually use from the Pro Controller and even more straight into the deck.

N6 keeps everything you expect from a Nintendo® Switch™ 2 Pro Controller (native motion control, vibration, full system recognition, responsive inputs) and builds it directly into a proper handheld deck-style grip.

Then it goes further. Turbo and programmable controls add flexibility when timing matters or when you want key actions closer to your fingers.

It’s a full Pro-level feature set, plus more. So, instead of choosing between comfort and performance, you get both.

Handheld play feels better when your hands can settle in and stay there.
N6 is built around full palm support, so your hands carry the console naturally instead of gripping it tightly. The deeply curved, full-size handles spread weight across your palms, reducing pressure on fingers and wrists. That means less tension, fewer adjustments, and longer sessions that still feel comfortable near the end.

With an 8.5 cm grip height, similar to full-size controllers, N6 keeps the Switch™ 2 balanced and secure between both hands. Your wrists stay straighter. Your thumbs reach controls more easily. The console feels steady instead of top-heavy, even during fast or demanding gameplay.

Stick drift was one of the biggest frustrations on the original Switch™. And while Switch™ 2 increases joystick size, it still relies on contact-based mechanisms meaning wear builds up over time, and drift can eventually return.

N6 solves this at the core.

It uses Hall-effect joysticks, where movement is read magnetically instead of through physical contact. With no internal friction, there’s nothing to wear down so your game stays smooth, accurate, and drift-free from the start.

To match a full size controller feel, N6 also increases the joystick travel angle to 23° (compared to 18° on Joy-Con). The added range gives your thumbs more room to work, making fine adjustments easier and directional changes smoother.
A POM anti-wear ring further reduces friction while keeping movement stable and predictable, without adding stiffness or noise.

Feel the difference in every press. N6 is tuned so each input does exactly what it’s meant to do.

ABXY buttons use conductive rubber for a familiar, cushioned press that reduces finger fatigue during long sessions while keeping actions smooth and consistent.
The D-pad uses tactile switches for sharper directional feedback and more precise inputs when accuracy matters.

Shoulder buttons switch to tactile clicks for faster, more defined responses in action-heavy play.

And the linear digital triggers deliver a true 0–100% input range, giving you finer throttle control in racing and smoother pressure-based inputs in games that rely on gradual acceleration instead of simple on/off clicks.

Play with cleaner spacing and fewer accidental presses. N6 uses a smart offset layout that places sticks and buttons where your fingers naturally land. You don’t have to stretch, shift, or rethink your grip mid-game.

The spacing and positioning help reduce accidental presses, especially during fast or intense game moments.

The difference feels subtle at first, but it adds up. Inputs become more intuitive, movements feel steadier and your hands stay relaxed even as sessions get longer.

Vibration should support your gameplay, not distract from it. On many controllers, including the Switch™ 2 Pro Controller, rumble strength usually has to be adjusted inside each individual game. There’s no quick, controller-level intensity switch.

With N6, you can change vibration strength directly on the controller using a simple button combo. Four levels (0%, 40%, 70%, 100%) let you adjust the feel instantly, without leaving your session.

Dual linear motors keep feedback sharp and controlled. You choose how strong it feels, and you can switch it anytime.

Motion control is most useful when it feels like an extension of your hands. When there’s lag, smoothing, or overcorrection, aiming becomes something you fight instead of trust.

N6 uses native 9-axis motion control that matches the Switch™ 2’s built-in gyro behavior. Movements are read directly from the controller, without artificial filtering, so small tilts translate cleanly into on-screen action.
This makes fine aiming easier and fast adjustments more predictable, especially in shooters, racing games, and titles that rely on gyro input. Combined with N6’s stable grip and balanced weight, motion control feels controlled and natural instead of shaky or tiring.

Use motion input when it helps, trust it when precision matters, and enjoy control that responds exactly as your hands intend.

Everyone plays differently, so N6 lets you adjust control without changing how it feels in your hands. Custom mapping and macros move key actions to where your fingers naturally rest, helping reduce unnecessary movement and keeping control consistent.
Turbo makes repeated inputs quicker and easier when timing matters, so you don’t have to mash buttons. It helps keep your grip relaxed and steady while the controller adapts to your playstyle.

When the console is inserted into N6, the speaker output faces forward, sending sound directly toward you. Inside, the structure forms a small resonance chamber that naturally reinforces the audio, similar to how an instrument body amplifies sound. This adds depth and about 10% stronger bass, making voices clearer, effects punchier, and games more immersive without extra power or bulk.

A dedicated C button maps directly to the Switch™ 2 GameChat system, giving you instant, one-touch access to voice communication. Press once to jump in, manage chat, or stay connected without breaking your flow or changing how you play.
Because it’s built into the controller and uses native system support, GameChat feels quick, reliable, and always where your thumb expects it to be.

N6 connects directly via USB-C, delivering ultra-low latency input with no delays between your action and what happens on screen.
A stable, high-speed wired connection that responds the moment you press a button, without relying on wireless pairing or signal stability.
That low-latency connection keeps fast actions sharp, motion input predictable, and long sessions consistent and dependable.

Running low on battery shouldn’t decide when your session ends. Stopping mid-game just to charge breaks momentum and pulls you out of the experience.
We wanted to make the play uninterrupted. That’s why the open charging port lets you power the console while you are playing. No unplugging. No switching setups. No waiting.

N6 is designed to look as good as it feels in your hands. Clean lines, balanced proportions, and a solid, purposeful shape give it a natural presence whether you’re playing at home or on the go. To match different tastes and setups, N6 comes in two color options:
Translucent Black for a clean, modern look
Indigo Purple inspired by classic console design
Choose the finish that fits your style and enjoy a controller that feels ready for everyday play.

N9C is a limited-edition controller built for players who love the feel of classic controllers and want that same instinctive control on Switch™ 2, now refined for comfort and modern performance.

The NGC-inspired layout feels familiar the moment you pick it up. A centered A button anchors your thumb, making fast, instinctive inputs feel natural and effortless. Every press is clear and intentional, thanks to mechanical micro-switch buttons and triggers that deliver sharp, confident feedback.

For modern accuracy, N9C uses drift-free capacitive joysticks, paired with swappable 8-way or circular gates so you can tune movement to your playstyle, tight and directional, or smooth and fluid.

Wrapped in a comfortable, purpose-built grip, N9C blends an iconic design with everyday usability.

N9C is built around a mechanical control philosophy.
ABXY buttons and triggers use mechanical micro-switches, paired with tactile shoulder buttons and a responsive D-pad. Every press has a clear actuation point, with immediate, consistent feedback so inputs always feel intentional.

Button remapping helps simplify complex combos, reducing finger movement and keeping actions fluid. Crisp, deliberate, and built for those who care about how a controller feels, not only what it does.

We know how much sticks matter. When control feels off, everything does. That’s why N9C uses next-generation capacitive joysticks, free from free from magnetic impact, staying consistent and reliable over time. Movement feels clean, accurate, and predictable every time you push the stick.

You can also tune how they feel. Swap between 8-way or circular gate rings, choose your preferred stick to match different games and playstyles. Set it once, then stop thinking about the hardware and stay focused on the game.
