The NocFree Lite features a classic staggered keyboard layout.

While other layouts have their advantages, adapting to them can be challenging for most users. Moreover, we’ve considered the daily lives and work routines of most people, where using built-in keyboards on computers is often inevitable.

By maintaining consistency, there’s no need for layout switching, reducing the learning curve and making your workflow more efficient.

The NocFree Lite is designed to allow the left and right sides to be fully merged.

For users new to split keyboards, there’s no need to worry about immediate adaptation. You can start with the keyboard fully merged and gradually separate it. 

Based on tests conducted with our family and friends, most individuals fully adapt after just one day, with the longest adjustment period being no more than a week. Your typing speed and accuracy will be on a par with using a traditional keyboard.

Our design principle is clear: create a product that is ergonomic, easy to use and elegantly simple.We started by 3D design modeling then 3D printing.

We’ve been very attentive to all aspects of the product and have gone through several iterations. Let’s look at two examples:

The tenting kit: An ergonomic angle, an easy to use connection, and a strong structure are all we wanted! The final design combines mechanical interlocks with magnetic attachment, ensuring stability and easy detachment.

The receiver: we have redesigned the circuit board, chip, and program of the receiver several times. The current version achieves about 10 meters of communication and supports 4 fully programmable layers

Over several months, we meticulously deliberated every product detail, put our ideas to the test through 3D printing, and collaborated with factories to transform our concepts into reality. Now, we are ready to recommend it to everyone in the world.

My journey with split keyboards began when I was battling wrist pain and lower back discomfort. The search for an attractive and accessible split keyboard led nowhere and sparked the idea for this project. 

Today, most people continue to use traditional keyboards, unaware of the health risks they pose. Despite innovations in ergonomic design, they have remained out of reach for many due to their high cost and steep learning curve.

Our goal is ambitious but clear: to move split keyboards from a niche to a mainstream choice. To achieve this, we need to invest in creating molds and enhancing production efficiency, steps essential for ensuring affordability and ongoing product refinement. This approach obviously requires a lot of investment.
