Hello from Tiffany Zhou, the Creative Director at OLEADA! You might find my journey into fashion a bit unconventional. Born into a family steeped in engineering and science, I initially followed in their footsteps, starting my career as an engineer in France. My work then led me to a leading airline, where I tackled complex technology projects. The allure of broader horizons took me to New York to pursue an MBA, eventually landing me in a private equity investor role on Wall Street.
But here’s the thing—throughout my career, I’ve traveled extensively for both work and leisure. It’s the laughter and diverse experiences of the people I’ve met along the way that have deeply inspired me. These adventures have not only shaped my view of the world but have also ignited a desire to give back through my creations. At OLEADA, I channel these experiences into every design, aiming to create pieces that are functional and beautiful, suitable for ANYONE, ANYWHERE.
I always say, you can only create a great brand based on who you really are. I am NOT a fashion designer. I AM an engineer, and it’s this engineering mindset from my early years that drives my belief: a good design should effortlessly integrate into our customers’ lifestyles, not just appeal to their aesthetic sensibilities.
The inception of the Anywear collection wasn’t about adding just another bag to the market. It was about addressing the real, day-to-day needs of people like you and me.
We transform from navigating corporate offices to rushing through city streets to exploring remote trails around the world.
The journey from concept to the final product took 17 months, culminating in the eighth version of the bag.
Each prototype underwent rigorous real-world testing to ensure it not only met but exceeded our high standards. This process included massive input from over 20 pilot users from a very diverse global demographic, helping to refine and evolve our designs.
Choosing Kickstarter over our official website for the launch was a deliberate decision. This platform allows us to engage with a broader community, gather real-time feedback, and continue to evolve our designs dynamically.
Unlike traditional campaigns that might use professional models, we featured our pilot users in the campaign.
They are the true representatives of how Anywear fits into various lifestyles, from everyday city routines to weekend getaways.
