Onorato is an AI-powered assistant in the shape of a parrot, bringing comfort and safety to older adults
More than 800 million people in the world are over 65 years old, and 60% of them live alone. We have created Onorato to help tackle loneliness and provide your loved ones with a handy AI assistant.
This inspiration led us to develop Onorato AI, a companion parrot designed to bring joy, engagement, and connection into the daily lives of elderly adults, right in the comfort of their own homes.
Onorato AI is a friendly and colorful parrot with artificial intelligence and emotional computing designed to help care for and improve the lives of our elderly.
Our mission is to create a more connected and engaging experience for older adults, making aging a peaceful and dignified stage.
Every Onorato parrot is trained for three months at our Onorato Academy using our proprietary “Onora” software. This training helps the parrot adapt to the personality, habits, and emotional needs of its future companion, for a truly personalized and meaningful connection.
Once you reserve your Onorato, you’ll receive a simple form to complete with details about the person who will be living with the parrot. This information, combined with our AI-driven Onora software, allows us to tailor your parrot’s behavior and responses to suit their unique lifestyle.

Onorato AI is being entirely designed and developed at the DFactory hub in Barcelona, led by the Leitat Foundation, a top-level technological center comprised of more than 30 multinational companies.
Onorato AI involves experts in 3D printing, artificial intelligence, emotional computing, computer vision, robotics, industrial design, software development, and consumer electronics.
All these specialties come into play in the product development, which has been in progress for one year and is expected to be completed in the next eight months.
