Throughout history, whispers speak of a secret brotherhood known as The Masters —a gathering of humanity’s greatest minds, including ArchimedesNewtonCopernicusTeslaEinstein, and other legendary thinkers. Hidden from the world, they met in a secret lodge, driven by a shared mission: to decode the mysteries of the universe and preserve their discoveries for future generations.

Their magnum opus, The Codex, is a forbidden chronicle of the world’s most transformative inventions, from the Wheel and the Printing Press to the Steam Engine and the Internet. Within its pages lies the knowledge that fueled civilization’s greatest leaps forward  — a blueprint for understanding how the world works.

Each stage represents an evolution in human achievement, exploring how ideas and inventions from history’s greatest minds shaped the world we know today.

For The Codex project, we will collaborate with talented Ukrainian artists and illustrators, channeling their creativity and skill to bring history’s greatest inventions to life. 

By working together, we aim to support and uplift artistic voices during the ongoing war, showcasing resilience and the power of creativity even amidst the adversity of war.

For example, one of the Masters is Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, the German physicist who discovered X-rays in 1895.

The prominent hand image on the left is one of the very first X-ray photographs ever taken. Remarkably, it’s an X-ray of Roentgen’s wife, Anna Bertha’s hand, revealing her bones and her wedding ring.  When Anna saw the image of her own skeleton, she reportedly exclaimed, “I have seen my death!”. 

Nikola Tesla developed alternating current (AC) electricity, which allowed efficient power transmission over long distances and laid the foundation for modern electrical systems.
In his laboratories, Thomas Edison focused on inventing practical devices like the electric light bulb, the phonograph, and improvements to telegraphy.
Marie Curie – a woman who changed science and became not only the first woman but also the first person to win Nobel Prizes in two different sciences.
