Our Story
Diamant Skiing was founded in October 2022, but the inspiration for the company goes back to my first ski trip to Colorado in 2013. It was a memorable experience – and not only because it was my first time flying to a mountain destination. As the trip began, there was a major issue. My dad and I had a whopping eight bags with us for only two nights. It was a sweaty struggle at the airport as I lugged all our gear to the check-in counter. This had to be fixed. Fast forward to 2023 and after months of designing and prototyping, The Weekend Warrior was born.
Our goal at Diamant Skiing is simple: create the best gear for the best skiing and snowboarding experiences. Riders constantly look within themselves to conquer tough terrain, and Diamant Skiing vows to do the same. Pressure makes diamonds and we will continue to find the pressure within.
What is Diamant?
Diamant means diamond in Ukrainian.
Why Diamant? The reason is two fold:
The first reason is that the name is an ode to my dad. He himself learned to ski in the mountains of Ukraine years ago and is the reason I love skiing today. He put an emphasis on ski trips and spent countless hours teaching me – no matter how unbearable I was.
The second reason stems from how diamonds are formed. It takes crazy pressure to turn a plain piece of carbon into a flashy diamond. Same goes for all of us – we push ourselves to step up. Whether it’s impressing at work, acing an exam, or taking on a new slope, we dig deep to improve. Diamant Skiing lives by that same pressure. We will continue to find the pressure within ourselves to bring you the greatest gear for the greatest adventures.
