Solar energy is all about playing catch with sunlight (or more technically, photons). When these photons meet a solar panel, they can give it energy if they “hit” it just right.



Traditional Solar Panels: 
Imagine you’re trying to throw a ball through a small hoop. The angle matters, and you’ve only got one shot. If the ball bounces off, you miss. That’s how traditional solar panels work with photons. The photons have to come in at the perfect angle to go through the protective glass and hit the silicon beneath. If they bounce off, that energy is wasted.
