Esin Akan is an award-winning handbag designer based in London. Before launching her own brand in 2012, she worked with some of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands, including Burberry and Anya Hindmarch, specialising in sustainable design and sourcing. Her education in accessories design in Milan provided a strong foundation, which she further enhanced by completing an Executive MBA at London Business School in 2013, where she also founded her brand. Esin’s unique blend of creativity, commercial acumen, and passion for sustainable, practical, and high-quality designs led to the creation of the Esin Akan brand. 

With strong relationships with European suppliers, our brand has flourished by keeping our customers at the core, empowering women to shine and make a statement on every occasion. Brand has been selling online on esinakan.com and selected retail partners worldwide including Macy’s in the U.S.

At Esin Akan, our design and product development process is meticulous, taking about three months to design and another three months to finalise the prototype. We rigorously test key components, leather quality, and bag durability, ensuring they withstand harsh conditions and heavy use. Every detail, from stitching to construction, is checked to ensure exceptional quality, offering our customers long-lasting, beautifully crafted bags.

The prices will be charged in GBP as we are a UK based company. We noted the closest value in USD on 15th October for US based customers. If you are paying in USD the fee will be converted from GBP based on Kickstarter  Exchange Rate on the day you purchase. Currently the rates are stable and it shall be close to the ≈ USD amount on each price bracket.

We are happy to offer shipping worldwide. The shipping rate to your country will be communicated when products are ready to ship. We will be distributing from U.K. and U.S. to the rest of the world. Our shipping rates for UK and US would vary between $5 to $15 and Rest of The World would be vary between $15 and $60 depending on proximity to our distribution centres. Please, note that the price of the item does not include additional duty and taxes that may apply as per local laws of importation.

We have established network of premium bag manufacturers in Turkey, Spain and Italy. We will select the supplier based on final order quantities, supplier capacity and lead times when our project ends.  Our production will remain in Europe.
