Cold Brew 101

If you haven’t tried cold brew, you’re missing out. Cold brew is a method of brewing coffee by steeping coarse ground beans in cold water for 12-24 hours. The lack of heat eliminates the acidic and bitter taste associated with conventional coffee and is much easier on the stomach. Cold brew concentrate, can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks and diluted to your desired strength for consumption.

Meet JARVA, a revolutionary cold brew system that uses pressure to filter concentrate through micro-fine filters, fast. Our patent-pending device can filter up to 56oz of quality cold brew concentrate per batch. The entire process only takes a few minutes from start to finish, removing all the hassle of making cold brew at home and saving you tons of time.

Our Coffee Partner: Stone Street Coffee

JARVA has partnered up with Stone Street Coffee to bring you the best possible cold brew coffee experience in your own home. JARVA has changed the cold brew game.

Existing cold brew products sacrifice quality for convenience. Until now, cold brew systems struggled to immerse grounds directly in the water, filter through micro-fine filters, and filter concentrate fast. We call this “The Cold Brew Trilema”, and JARVA has solved it.

Before JARVA, many products had to rely on gravity alone to slowly extract the concentrate from the grounds, a process that can take well over 30 minutes. Additionally, traditional cold brew methods usually leave a large portion of concentrate still absorbed into the grounds. JARVA is the only household cold brew filter that leverages high pressure to speed up the filtration process, enabling you to filter up to 56oz of cold brew concentration in as little as 90 seconds and extract nearly all of the concentrate from the grounds.

The filtration speed is only impressive when you realize that it can be filtered through 20 micron natural paper filters. Fine filtration is essential if you want to enjoy a smooth cold brew, free of unwanted sediment, soot and oils. Our reusable stainless steel 200 micron filters are designed to work alone or can be combined with our paper filters. Pressure is the missing piece which allows you to filter the highest quality cold brew concentrate at home, with only a few minutes of your time.

Many products separate the coffee grounds from the water with restrictive metal or cloth filters, limiting the immersion process leading to a weaker brew. JARVA freely steeps your coffee grounds directly in the water, allowing for maximum extraction, flavor creation, and caffeine. We call this direct immersion, and it allows you to get the most out of your coffee grounds.

JARVA uses any “wide mouth” common use 64oz or 32oz jars, so there’s no need to purchase additional limited-use beakers or containers. Not only can you filter high volume batches, but your jars have infinite other uses aside from making coffee. Plus, you can have another batch brewing and ready to cycle-in as you finish your current jar of concentrate. No more mornings in-between batches without your daily dose of caffeine!

Have you ever thought about how much concentrate is wasted just soaking in the grounds after filtration? Depending on the ratios you use, this waste can add up to over 20% of your final concentrate. JARVA’s high pressure filtration extracts more of your concentrate from the coffee grounds, reducing waste while saving you time and money! Our reusable stainless-steel filters also eliminate the need for disposable items.

Cleaning JARVA is as easy as disposing of the remaining coffee grounds and rinsing your gear in the sink. No more messy coffee grounds all over the kitchen.
