STORY

 FERRO & COMPANY – WHERE UNDERSTATED DESIGN MEETS FINE CRAFTSMANSHIP

Ferro & Co. have combined the exhilaration of racing with the technology of today to bring you our 1960’s – 1970’s racing inspired line of high-quality watches in our newest collection – Race Master.

1960’s and 70’s car racing brought us new and innovative sleek designs, smooth curves, and luxurious style with the rise of Ferrari and Ford’s GT racers, Aston Martins, McLarens, and Porsche race cars.

Each driver and car team fighting for 1st place as they sped around winding tracks, weaving in and out of their competitors for up to 24 hours, such as in the famous Le Mans race in France. With the roar of engines vibrating the stands and the smell of exhaust in the air, you could feel the excitement rising from the crowd as the green flags signalled the start of the race.

Gone are the 1960’s style races, however, those vintage races paved the way for what we know to be racing today and the sleek designs of the past can now be yours in Ferro & Co.’s new vintage style watch collection.

DETAILS

• A clean and retro style dial for both Automatic and Chrono Quartz versions

Precision machined dials with applied indices and domed printed numeral with C3 Super Luminova will make it very easy to read the time during day or night.

•  Japan Made Automatic 24Hour subdial display  with decorated rotor or Chronograph Quartz movement for time keeping accuracy. 

•  Top Grain Italian leather perforated racing style straps 

The leather straps are carefully crafted with contrast stitching and secured by 316 L stainless steel, brushed finish with our authentic F logo.

•  German Made Hesalite Crystal 

To further enhance the retro style of the Race Master watch collection, we have implemented boxed domed hesalite crystal. Hesalite crystals are used by many luxury watch brand including  Rolex and Omega. In fact the first watch that ever set afoot on the moon (Omega Speed Master Professional) was equipped with Hesalite Crystal.

Hesalite glass is  softer than mineral or sapphire.  Due to its soft properties, the glass is more flexible, which means that Hesalite is much more break-resistant than mineral and sapphire glass. The material is also extremely impact-resistant. It can tear, but not splinter. Another advantage is that smaller scratches can be easily removed with a polish.  

Hesalite glass is very resilient and can perform its service on the watch for decades if handled properly. Due to its material properties, Hesalite does not reflect any light and – unlike sapphire glass – does not need an anti-reflective coating. As a result, the dial appears clearer and more distinct.  Hesalite crystals also give watches a certain vintage character.

•  316 L Brushed Stainless Steel 39 MM Case 

Race Master watches are carefully crafted with 39 MM brushed finish 316 L stainless steel case. Each case is meticulously brushed by hand. Our artisans have many years of experience and pay close attention to details and craftsmanship.

• Super Bright Lume

To extend legibility into the dark, both versions’ dials, numbers and indices  are filled with Super Luminova which result a bright and long-lasting glow.
