Making ice in a home freezer has several drawbacks. First, it is slow, and using molds is difficult. Even worse, the presence of other foods in the freezer can transfer odors, flavors, and bacterial to the ice, an unfortunate effect that can ruin a drink.

Most refrigerator ice makers can provide small batches of ice on demand or up to 12kg-15kg of ice in about 24 hours which is ok for regular use.  But to create an ice ball using a mold, can take twice the amount of time to achieve just one or two spheres. 

Iceegg produces two perfectly spherical ice balls in about 50 minutes – faster than most other systems – and can store eight to ten of these at a time. Every time the device makes an ice sphere, it automatically turns on the UV sterilization mode to help kill bacteria for better-tasting ice and health protection.

Iceegg is simple and user-friendly. There is a light bar at the top of the machine that lights up during operation and begins flashing when the ice balls are ready.  Keep the door closed when the lights flash until waiting for the lights to stop and now you can enjoy your whisky on the rock.

When the water tank begins running out, the “Add Water” sign on the surface will light up, reminding you to fill up the water tank with purified water so your ice spheres are always ready.
