Magnets are the closest thing to real ✨MAGIC ✨. Magnus 2.0 has hundreds of them hidden inside the cover, now with a completely redesigned retention system. We are still the only play couch on the market that uses magnets. The magnets are stronger for more stable builds, but still easy for little hands to pull apart.

The perfect balance of firm and soft. Firm enough for stable towers. Soft enough for safe landings. We tested dozens of foams to get this right. Magnus 2.0 sits in the sweet spot: sturdy for building, comfortable for sitting. Your kids get stability. You get comfort.

Magnus 2.0 is CertiPUR-US certified (no harsh chemicals, flame retardants, or heavy metals) and CA65 certified, meeting California’s strict safety standards.
🧼 New double cover system, easier to clean.
The outer cover is soft microsuede, durable, and fully removable. Throw it in the washing machine. When you wash the outer cover, the foam stays protected by the inner cover with the magnets. Clean outside, safe inside. Every time.
🛋 Designed to fit any space.
When playtime ends, Magnus 2.0 becomes a beautiful couch, armchair, ottoman, or daybed. Your guests will never guess it is a toy. No clutter. No plastic look. No “toy room” feeling. From calm neutrals to bold colors, it fits naturally into any space. Each set can be one color or a mix of two.

The magnets are housed in a sealed double-layer pocket within the inner cover. They rotate freely to self-align but cannot escape. Stronger grip, perfect alignment, zero risk of coming loose. No matter how wild the building gets.
🧵YKK zippers. Built to last.
One of the biggest upgrades in Magnus 2.0. We use YKK zippers, known for extreme durability and smooth performance. The same standard used in Patagonia, Levi’s, and even Prada bags.
⚠️ Magnet Safety & Medical Implants ⚠️
Magnus uses neodymium magnets. They are safe for children, but if anyone in your home has a pacemaker or other medical implant, please consult a doctor before using. We recommend keeping a safe distance of at least 12 inches from the magnets.
Keep Magnus away from credit cards, ID badges, and sensitive electronics. You probably already know this, but we have to say it.

It is kind of like a pre-order, but you are actually supporting us to get this version off the ground. By backing, you will receive a great discount and get Magnus before it is available anywhere else.
You can change your pledge later, but our best discounts are only available for a limited time. Below are the pricing details. The Super Early Bird price ($329) is for our earliest supporters. The Kickstarter Standard price ($399) is for everyone else.

Waterproof Inner Cover – $45
A waterproof film applied at the factory to the inner magnet cover. Completely hidden under the microsuede so it doesn’t change the look or feel of your Magnus. If a drink spills and soaks through the outer cover, the foam and magnets stay fully protected.
Plush Star Light – $22
A super soft, pushable plush star with a warm light inside. Push it to turn it on, push again to turn it off. It snaps magnetically to your Magnus couch so kids can build it right into their fort, stick it to their headboard, or carry it around the house. Warm light, no harsh brightness. Rechargeable via USB-C with up to 4 hours per charge. Compatible with Magnus 1.0 and 2.0.

📦 Shipping.
We learned hard lessons with Magnus 1.0. For 2.0 we built three regional fulfillment hubs (USA, Europe, Asia) to get your couch to you faster and more affordably than before.
Shipping is charged separately before delivery via a post-campaign survey – we will give you plenty of notice before anything is charged.

What happened with Magnus 1.0?
The original Magnus idea was built on something special, but the huge response from backers became overwhelming. That is where we came in. We helped the original creator fulfill and expedite shipping for the first Magnus. We saw the challenges, the delays, and the hard lessons. And we stayed because we believed in this product.
We have now taken ownership of Magnus. We spent over three years redesigning and perfecting every single decision to make everything better. Stronger magnets. Double-layer safety. A completely new cover system. Every detail was questioned, tested, and improved.
We are the team that took over Magnus because we believed it deserved better. Here is the truth. We know furniture. We know logistics. We have delivered projects across the world. But we are also parents who want the same thing you do: happy kids and a home that still looks good.
Where we are right now.
We built over 60 prototypes of Magnus 2.0. We tested with dozens of kids. The double cover system alone went through 12 versions before we got it right. The magnets? We got taller buildings thanks to the better hold. We are not guessing. This is the version that survived.
Once we hit our goal, we will move straight into DMF (Design for Manufacturing) to get everything ready for production. Our hope? First batch ships in September. No long waits. No broken promises. Just a better couch, finally here.

We stand behind Magnus 2.0. Every couch comes with a one-year warranty against defects. If something breaks, we will send you replacement parts or guide you through a fix. We are not disappearing after this campaign. We are here for the long haul.
