Introducing Display Dock

A solid Indian hardwood dock that holds your most important note, card, or photo upright at eye level. Simple to use, built to last, and designed to sit on any surface in your home or workspace.

We live in an era of digital noise. Every thought gets typed, every reminder gets buried in an app. Meanwhile the one note you actually needed sits lost in a notifications stack. The number. The name. The idea. Some things deserve to be seen.

A T-shaped solid wood dock that grips your notes, cards, and papers in a precision slot. Upright, visible, and beautiful on any surface. One object. One purpose. Done with complete honesty.

A fine horizontal gap runs the full length of the top beam. Slide any paper, card, or note in and it holds cleanly at perfect reading height.

Precision stainless steel ball bearings line the slot channel. They grip your paper with just enough tension to hold it firm. Nothing else involved.

The wide base anchors the dock with gravitas. The elevated crossbar lifts your notes into natural eye line. The way a museum places a piece.

Hand-selected kiln-dried sheesham wood with grain patterns as unique as a fingerprint. No two Display Docks look identical.

1. INSTANT MENTAL CLARITY

When your most important thought is physically in front of you, your brain stops cycling through noise. One note, front and centre, is the most powerful productivity tool ever made.

2. REDUCES DECISION FATIGUE

Externalizing your reminders reduces the cognitive load of keeping everything in your head. The dock holds what your head keeps cycling through. It is there when you look up. It asks nothing of you.

3. DEEP WORK ANCHOR

Place your single most important task for the day in the dock. Every time you glance up, you return to your intention. A physical focus anchor, not a digital one.

4. WORKS IN EVERY ROOM

Kitchen counter for the recipe. Hallway console for the to-do list. Bedside table for a quote. Living room shelf for a family photo. The Display Dock belongs everywhere you live.

5. HANDWRITING BEATS SCREENS

Studies consistently show handwritten notes are remembered 70% more effectively than typed ones. The Display Dock keeps your handwritten notes exactly where they should be. In front of you.

6. A BEAUTIFUL OBJECT EVERY DAY

Your desk is a space you inhabit for hours each day. The Display Dock is an object so well-made that looking at it brings quiet satisfaction. Even on the days you have nothing to put in it.

We put the Display Dock on desks before this campaign launched. Here is what came back.

100% of early users kept the Display Dock on their desk after the first week. None of them were asked to.

These are people who received the Display Dock before this campaign existed and chose to keep using it. That is the only endorsement we needed to launch.

The act of forming letters manually encodes information through kinesthetic memory. A deeper pathway than typing. Your hands remember what your mind might forget.

When an important thought is physically in front of you, your brain stops holding it in working memory. That freed-up bandwidth goes back to the actual work.

A physical object on your desk creates a spatial anchor. Where a notification demands attention and then vanishes, a note on a dock simply stays. It does not demand anything. It does not disappear.

Research in environmental psychology shows that beautiful well-crafted objects in our workspace measurably improve mood, creativity, and sustained attention.

We could have listed the Display Dock on a website and sold it quietly. We chose Kickstarter because we wanted to build this with the people who would actually use it.

Kickstarter lets us do three things we cannot do anywhere else. It lets us produce the first run without cutting costs to hit a retail margin and without substituting materials to satisfy a buyer. It lets us hear from real people before we scale. And it lets us offer you a price we can never offer again once this campaign closes.

Every Display Dock in this campaign is produced identically to what you see in these photographs. Same wood. Same steel. Same oil finish. Same craft.

We are a small team. We work with craftsmen who have spent their lives in the wood. This campaign is how we bring that work to the people who deserve to own it.

Three reasons to back now

LOWEST PRICE. Campaign pricing will not return after we close. Once this run ships, the retail price applies.

FIRST ACCESS. Backers from this campaign receive their docks before any retail or web orders.

DIRECT INPUT. Early backers shape what comes next. You tell us what you want and we build it.

MINI DISPLAY DOCK
5.9″ wide. 6.2″ tall. 3.14″ base.
Built for the bedside table, the kitchen counter, the corner of a small desk. It holds one to two note at a time and that is exactly the point.

CLASSIC DISPLAY DOCK
10.5″ wide. 11″ tall. 5.11″ base.
The one most people choose. Wide enough to hold four to five notes side by side, tall enough to sit at natural eye level on a working desk. The proportion that feels right in almost any room

The Oaksmen Productivity Card Set is a pack of 60 minimal printed cards designed to slot directly into your Display Dock. Each card carries one of two words. Today or Someday.

Total 60 Cards

  • 40x Today
  • 20x Someday

Pull a Today card when you know exactly what needs to happen. Pull a Someday card for the idea, the plan, the thing you are not ready for yet but do not want to lose. Write on it. Slot it in. Let it sit where you can see it.
