WunderWheel is designed to work with most standard bicycles, so you can upgrade the bike you already enjoy riding instead of replacing it. The Kickstarter launch supports 26-inch bikes with a 100 mm front fork and 9 mm or 10 mm dropouts, fitting most city, commuter, mountain, trekking, and folding bikes.
Before ordering, simply check three measurements: your wheel size, front fork width, and dropout size. A detailed compatibility guide will be provided before shipping to help ensure the perfect fit.

WunderWheel is engineered around a lightweight magnesium-alloy wheel structure, combining strength, low weight, and everyday durability. The electrical system and enclosure are designed with IP65-rated protection in mind, helping protect key components from dust, rain, splashes, and the conditions riders encounter on daily commutes.
But durability is only part of the equation. Safety and compliance have been considered throughout the development process—from the battery and charging system to wireless connectivity and regional speed configurations.
Safety & Compliance
WunderWheel is currently undergoing testing and compliance preparation for our target markets, including:
- UL 2271 — battery safety standard for light electric vehicle applications
- UL 2849 — electrical system safety standard for eBikes, covering the interaction of the drive system, battery, and charger
- FCC — wireless / Bluetooth radio compliance for the U.S. market
- CE Conformity — applicable EU safety, health, EMC, and environmental requirements
- RoHS — restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic components
These evaluations are currently in progress and are planned to be completed before backer units are shipped.

WunderWheel uses Persistence of Vision (POV) technology to transform wheel rotation into a dynamic visual display.
Unlike traditional LED bike lights that only create colors or patterns around the wheel, WunderWheel uses precisely controlled RGB LEDs mounted on the spokes to create floating images, icons, and animations while the wheel is spinning.
As the wheel rotates, the LEDs illuminate at carefully timed positions. Your eyes combine these individual light points into a complete image, creating the illusion of graphics appearing inside the wheel.
Your wheel is no longer just a component of your bike. It becomes a moving digital canvas.
