The Slipjoint Mechanism — Timeless Simplicity
This folding knife adopts a classic non-locking slipjoint design.
There is no mechanical lock, no frame lock, liner lock or back lock to hold the blade rigidly. A precision-machined backspring provides steady tension to hold the blade at open and closed positions.
The backspring simply presses against the blade tang. With enough applied force, the blade can fold back freely.
It requires two-hand manual opening only. No thumb stud, no flipper tab, no automatic spring deployment.
This minimalist mechanism brings two major benefits:
1. Fewer moving parts, higher long-term reliability, less chance of mechanical failure.
2. More friendly legal status in many regions compared with locking folding knives.
