There are several similarities between a cycle and a watch – both items have a simple form yet are complicated in their mechanics. That attribute was a strong concept for me to design a contemporary wristwatch that captured the essence of fixed-gear cycling and created for adventurous individuals.

FIXI-T1 aims to evoke the passion for cycling with the dial design that finds inspiration in a British hand-built fixed-gear cycle.

This design ethos is particularly prominent in the signature central chainring design & styling of watch hands, lending a sporting touch reminiscent of the feeling of pedalling. The unique dial colours are the same tone as cycle frame and provide a clean backdrop.

The applied hour marker indices have been kept to a minimum width to echo the components on a bicycle wheel; those linear movements continue into the chapter ring, generating a clean overall dial design.

To enhance the legibility when lights fade,  the indexes, hour and minute hands are filled with two layers of Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 paint to ensure a long lasting afterglow.

FIXI-T1 features excellent scratch-resistant, double-domed sapphire crystal with two layers of anti-reflective coating. This particular shape of the crystal complements the shape of the watch case and it provides a refined look for wearing on most occasions.

ADLEY FIXI-T1 is rated 10 ATM (100m = 300 feet) and is suitable for snorkelling and swimming but not scuba diving.

Inspired by the wheel frame of the fixed-gear cycle, the unique arched case profile is made entirely from polished 316L stainless steel.

The case measures 40mm in diameter (excluding the crown); the crown with an 8-sided nut ring design has been relocated to 12 o’clock to allow unrestricted wrist movement.

A smaller decorative crown at six o’clock offers a visual balance, carrying the watch’s serial number.

It is fitting to power the watch with a Seiko NH35 automatic movement with hacking function in the sprite of fixed-gear cycle riders; their attitude of pushing their cycle and body to the limit.

This high-spec, Japanese-made automatic/self-winding mechanical movement features a 41-hour power reserve, which beats at 21,600 bph. It generates power from your wrist movement whilst wearing it.

We have also taken the step the insert O-ring around the movement for shock absorption purposes. The case back is screwed down to ensure maximum water tightness.

We aim to produce a robust and quality timepiece. The materials applied to Each watch have been specified to last many years to come. The two-stage quality control process will ensure the watch is in perfect condition before shipping it to you. 

Each FIXI-T1 watch will include one leather or rubber strap.
