Your mission? Be the last puppy standing by avoiding the explosive combo of the bomb and detonator cards because…Bam! You’re out if you nab both. But fret not! You can dodge those explosive mishaps and still stay in the game if you play your cards right.

It’s a game of high stakes hide-and-seek with a deck of 100 wild cards, giving you the power to dodge doom, mess with friends, or bring in a tidal wave of silliness. As the deck dwindles, the suspense (and giggles) just keeps growing!

Wondering who I am? Just your average lockdown dad here, who huddled up with my kiddo and our doodle-diva friend Kimberly to create Wacky Puppies. What’s it like, you ask? Imagine a comedic battlefield of strategy, sprinkled with wacky turns and starring a horde of over 60 quirky pooches!

So, card game aficionados, dog pun enthusiasts, and lovers of laughter, we need your help to unleash Wacky Puppies into the wild!

Two years ago, I started a father-son project with my 13-year-old son during lockdown caused by the pandemic. 

With plenty of time on our hands, we turned our focus to playing every conceivable card game we could get our hands on. Some were great, but others, well, not so great. We kept returning to the great ones, which we played over and over. The great ones always had some elements that we loved, but we wished for a game that would include everything we enjoyed. 

We wanted to combine humor, strategy, chance, puns, explosions, hilarious player challenges, card swaps, sudden twists, and the ability for players to create their own wild rules, all combined into one ultimate game, with simple rules based around a simple concept.

The more we discussed it, the more the ideas began to flow, and that’s when “Wacky Puppies” was born. 

We began mapping out our ideas, categorizing the cards and creating the game mechanics. Together with Kimberly (our master artist) who put pen-to-paper (really stylus to tablet), the myriad of characters we wanted in the game sprang to life. 

After printing our first decks of test cards, we began playing with friends and family. Game nights became more hilarious, more unpredictable and more engaging than ever before. 

Expansion Packs

The birth of Wacky Puppies sparked a creative frenzy in us! We didn’t stop at one version, oh no, we made a NSFW pack too – because who doesn’t like some adult humor, quirky puns, and a dash of risqué?

Then, a lightbulb moment – why not extend our wacky world further? Kids, teens, adults – there’s a puppy pack for everyone! Thanks to Kickstarter, we can fetch these wild ideas and turn them into reality.

 **Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to certain countries. At the moment, we are unable to ship to the Russian Federation, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Cuba, Libya and Yemen.

Pledge Management:

We’ve teamed-up with BackerKit, the ideal platform for managing a campaign’s fulfilment process. It’s a great way to connect with our backers and process pledges. It also allows us to send out surveys during the campaign and obtain feedback from all of you regarding the game (and gauge which mystery stretch goals are the best).

Shipping & Distribution:

Shipping will be done from within the USA, UK and the European Union using fulfilment centers. You won’t need to hassle with import & duties within those regions. Shipping fees will be collected during the post-campaign survey along with appropriate sales tax in the USA and applicable VAT in the UK + European Union.

Depending on the number of backers, we may also opt to have the game shipped from within Australia. In such a case, the shipping fees would be adjusted lower and we will collect appropriate taxes during the pledge manager, after the campaign.

The game will be manufactured by November 2023 with delivery to distribution centers by December 2023. 

From the very beginning, we knew that we wanted a multitude of characters to bring the game to life. Kimberly’s incredible artistic talents were essential in making each card fun and unique. 

Her artistic journey began when she joined her first art club in the 2nd grade. As a child, Kimberly was exposed to a lot of cartoons and would start scribbling on home cabinets and walls. As a self-taught artist, her artwork is created from unique experiences and inspirations. This was her first time creating characters for a game.
