KUT (Keychain Utility Tool)….. Lite
The KUT (Keychain Utility Tool) Lite is our first utility knife to be made in titanium. Our newest iteration to our utility knife line up. The KUT Lite is optimised to be the world’s thinnest locking utility knife.
With clever engineering, we managed to design the KUT Lite to be paper thin and ultra light. Measuring in at only 3.5mm thick (0.138in) and weighing in at only 13g (0.45oz), this little tool can withstand anything you throw at it. Thanks to its unibody titanium construction, it has not moving parts, hence nothing to lose.
The integrated locking bar allows for tooless single handed blade deployments and makes swapping out blades a breeze. Simply lift the locking tab up with your index finger, then slide the utility blade out to your desired position.
An additional grove was machined in the main spine for weight reduction while maintaining structural integrity. Integrated lanyard loop provides quick attachments to your gear.
Don’t let its small size fool you, it can still handle all of your everyday cutting tasks! From breaking down cardboard to sharpening your pencil, the KUT can handle it all!
And when the blade gets dull, simply swap in a fresh blade and you are good as new!
Anodization finishes
With the KUT we are proud to present 3 distinct choices of anodization colours for a small fee! Antiqued Brass ,Galactic Blue and our newest Kickstarter Only finish Arctic Ice! We hand anodise each KUT, the process gives it a slight gradient colour, after the process, no two KUTs will be the same making them truly unique. Just pick your preferred finish in the add on section!
Specifications
The KUT Lite is machined from a single billet of Grade 5 Titanium. Why Grade 5 Titanium? Because here at Ryfined Gear we only use the best materials fit for the task. Grade 5 Titanium is superior in strength compared to pure titanium, It is also significantly stronger than commercial stainless steel while being lighter and much more corrosion resistant. Hence it’s the choice for engineers in demanding fields such as aerospace and automotive applications. We gave the KUT Lite a sandblasted then stonewashed finish for a quiet utilitarian look. Ryfined yet understated.
The frame is engineered like a formula one car, where all redundant material is removed, spaces optimized while retaining optimal structural integrity. The result is an ultra thin profile that disappears into your EDC carry, yet ready to spring into action at any moment!
Left and Right Handed Options
We understand there are plenty of left handed EDC users out there, but not of a lot of options. Here at Ryfined Gear, we try to make our products accessible to more people and we are delighted to offer the KUT in both right and left handed versions!
