The Origins: Hear From the Founder!
Customer Research
We interviewed over 100 women around the world to understand what their dream hair dryer would look like. Common themes revolved around fast drying, frizz reduction, multiple attachments and a travel friendly design. Everyone wanted a premium hair dryer that wouldn’t break the bank and we tried to create just that.
Design brainstorming and iterations
Based on our user interviews, we iterated on the designs, constantly weighing the performance with cost and reliability. After many iterations, user surveys and technical discussions we arrived at the final design of the Hypersonic.
Testing the Functional Prototypes and Manufacturing Partnership
Our prototypes were successfully tested to the European CE standard (EN60335) for hair dryers regarding different operational parameters. We’ve successfully produced 2 small batches, including a set of engineering builds and a pre-production prototypes where we validated any issues related to mass production and material sourcing.
