Our Workshop

The fast fashion industry, known for its quick and inexpensive production of clothing, is a major contributor to pollution and waste. They use a lot of synthetic fibers, which are inexpensive, durable, quick-drying, wrinkle-resistant, etc., but they are oil-based and have a huge impact on the environment. It has transformed clothing from a durable item to a disposable one, making fashion more affordable and accessible to a wider audience. However, this shift has led to significantly shorter lifecycles for garments and increased resource consumption.

Studies have shown that the fashion industry is now the second-largest polluter globally, trailing only behind the petrochemical industry. Particularly, the production and disposal stages of the fashion lifecycle generate substantial waste emissions and pollution.

By embracing bio-based fabrics, we can significantly mitigate environmental impacts and promote a more sustainable and responsible fashion industry.
