Inspired by our earlier product, the PRESSO tea cup, we developed TurboBrew (US/EU/China patent pending), a portable electric vacuum coffee maker, by combining pour-over and French press methods. TurboBrew’s innovative Turbo Filtration system utilizes consistent negative pressure to actively draw coffee through a reusable hyper-filter, completing the extraction process in just 30 seconds. This built-in vacuum technology ensures fast, precise filtration and consistently delivers a perfectly brewed cup with rich flavor and clarity every time.

The core of this technology is rooted in our study and research of air pressure, utilizing negative pressure to accelerate the filtration process. To begin the magic, start by tightening the upper brewer to the lower drinking thermos cup to create a sealed space.

To enjoy a cup of freshly brewed café-quality coffee, just follow these 3 simple steps:

Through collaboration with renowned local baristas, we have developed an optimal auto-brewing mode as the default extraction process, ideal for most light to medium roasted coffees. The auto timer begins as soon as you press the button. In around 4 minutes, the system automatically initiates filtration to complete the brewing process, ensuring a consistent flavor.

This auto-brew program ensures a fool-proof operation, preventing over-extraction of your coffee. This is especially crucial when you’re occupied with other tasks. TurboBrew takes care of the brewing so you can savor every delightful sip without any stress!

In addition to the automatic mode, you can opt for manual operation. Simply press the button to interrupt the auto timer and start filtration immediately. Press again to toggle between filtration and extraction as needed.

If you are a skilled barista, you can tailor your coffee experience and explore a variety of flavors using the manual mode of TurboBrew by employing advanced pour-over techniques and adjusting the extraction rate for different brewing stages.

TurboBrew is thoughtfully designed to accommodate a nominal brew ratio of 15 grams of coffee grounds to 240 mL (~8 oz) of hot water. This offers a convenient 1:16 coffee-to-water ratio, yielding approximately 220 mL (~7 oz) of smooth, well-balanced coffee—perfect for everyday brewing or enjoying on the go, no scale required.

The 340 mL (~12 oz) insulated thermos cup leaves extra room for adding milk, ice, or flavorings, giving you more ways to customize your brew.

For safety, DO NOT exceed 300 mL of water in total per brew cycle—especially during manual mode, where segmented brews may lead to accidental overfilling.
Exceeding the limit may cause overflow or allow hot liquid to escape through the pneumatic vents. Always keep the device upright during brewing to maintain proper pressure and ensure safe operation.

This reusable stainless steel Hyper Filter effectively captures particles larger than 150 microns, resulting in a clean and clear flavor profile for your coffee while preserving a richness that paper filters cannot achieve.

Thanks to our specially designed reusable stainless steel Hyper Filter and negative pressure filtration technology, we’ve achieved an exceptional balance between pour-over and French press. This results in a harmonious blend of bright clarity with a rich body and smooth texture.

TurboBrew works with most grind sizes thanks to our specially designed stainless steel filter mesh, which has openings as small as 150 microns. For the best results, we recommend using medium to medium-coarse coffee grounds.

If you’re seeking ultimate clarity, TurboBrew can also achieve that simply by sandwiching an additional round paper filter between the lock ring and the stainless steel Hyper Filter. However, as mentioned earlier, this will result in a loss of richness inherent to paper filters. But as the saying goes, you can’t have it all, right?

We’ve designed the upper brewer of TurboBrew with double-layer insulation—not only to make it heat-resistant and safe to handle, but more importantly, to maintain a stable brewing temperature for optimal flavor extraction. 

As many renowned coffee experts pointed out in their YouTube video sharings on pour-over techniques, heat retention plays a crucial role in brewing quality coffee—which is why plastic brewers often outperform ceramic ones in this regard. Taking that insight to heart, we enhanced our design with this double-layer feature to ensure every cup reaches its full potential.
