Roadie has always supported a wide range of instruments, but with a newly redesigned peg connector, Roadie 4 now fits both smaller and larger pegs more comfortably. Its rubberized texture grips tuning pegs more securely and turns smoothly with no slipping, no shaking, just steady, quiet tuning.
It works with any instrument that uses geared pegs, including electric guitars with 6, 7, 8 or 12 strings, acoustic and classical guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, banjos, bouzoukis, lap steels and much more. Whatever you play, Roadie 4 is ready to tune it with speed and precision. Bass guitars, however, have heavier strings and require more torque than Roadie 4 is designed to deliver. That’s why we created Roadie Bass, a separate tuner specifically built to handle the needs of bass instruments. It’s already available on the market, and you can order it directly through our website.

Set Roadie to “Tune Up”
With the optional Tune Up setting, Roadie 4 finishes all tunings by tightening the peg and locking in your tuning even more securely. Many players swear by this method, while others prefer the default. The choice is yours.
Create Custom Tunings
Whether you’re tuning to tempered or alternate tunings, Roadie 4 makes it easier than ever. You can adjust each string in cents to match your ear or specific setup. If you’ve fitted your guitar with a custom nut or bridge to compensate for intonation, you can create tunings tailored to that exact configuration. For floating bridge guitars like a Floyd Rose, follow the recommended string order (Low E, High E, B, A, G, D) to maintain equal tension across the bridge. Save your custom tuning once and access it anytime with just a tap.
Tune with a Capo
Using a capo? No problem. Just tell Roadie which fret it’s on, keep the capo on, and your preset tunings will adjust automatically so Roadie tunes for the key you’re playing in.
Adjust Your Reference Pitch
Not everyone tunes to A=440 Hz. Roadie 4 lets you shift the reference pitch anywhere between 420 Hz and 460 Hz, in 1 Hz increments (perfect for historical pieces, orchestral settings, or matching fixed-pitch instruments).
Fast or Higher Accuracy Tuning
Roadie 4 comes set to “Fast Tuning” by default: quick, reliable, and accurate enough for everyday playing. But when you need extra precision, like during recording sessions, just switch to “High Accuracy” mode. It fine-tunes each note with even greater detail, giving you a perfectly polished result.
[NEW] Quick Tune: Your Shortcuts to Tuning
By popular demand from our Roadie users, we’ve introduced Quick Tune, a feature designed to get you tuning faster than ever. When enabled, your Roadie 4 will automatically open to your last tuned instrument or a favorite as soon as you power it on, so you’re ready to go immediately.
And now, Roadie 4 also comes preloaded with a few common instrument profiles, so you can start tuning right out of the box. While we still recommend creating full instrument profiles for precision and advanced features, you now have a shortcut when speed matters.
