Bringing the Heartbeat of Kyoto to Everyday Life
In the historic Nishijin district of Kyoto, the rhythmic sound of looms has echoed for over 1,200 years. At andèotte by Debby Inc., we are reimagining this tradition for the modern world. Our mission is to transform Nishijin-ori—once reserved for ceremonial garments—into daily luxury accessories that anyone can enjoy.
This is more than product design. It’s a movement to release tradition into everyday life.

Why Nishijin-ori? A Legacy of Innovation and Resilience

And perhaps its most stunning feature? Structural color from yarn-dyeing. Unlike printed fabrics, Nishijin-ori weaves pre-dyed threads into complex patterns, creating luminous, durable textiles that shimmer with depth and dimensionality.
Our Challenge: Elevating Design Resolution through Weaving
For years, Debby Inc. has designed and manufactured fashion accessories under brands like maison blanche and andèotte. Our heart lies in textile storytelling—and to further evolve our expression, we sought to move beyond print.
We sought greater detail, nuance, texture, and presence.
The answer? Weaving. And specifically, Nishijin weaving.
With andèotte’s founding spirit of “a smile at a glance,” we now bring traditional craftsmanship into the palm of your hand.
Theme: RETRO for a Timeless Tomorrow
This collection revolves around the theme “RETRO”.

Why now?
In uncertain times, people seek nostalgia, comfort, and vintage quality. RETRO is a shared language across generations. Nishijin-ori’s timeless elegance harmonizes perfectly with this desire for familiarity and warmth.
By combining nostalgic motifs with modern usability, we offer a fresh, hybrid retro.
Pattern Stories — Nostalgia Woven in Every Thread
Each design in this collection is more than just a pattern — it’s a window into a memory, a feeling, a timeless charm. From vintage toys to retro florals, our textiles tell stories that transcend borders and generations.
