The SLICE
This is the Slice, our Fixed Utility Knife holder. Designed to be featherlight and sturdy, the Slice is one of the lightest fixed blade utility blade holders. Every Slice comes with a Magna Sheath for snappy deployment and a satisfying haptic click when sheathed.
The Magna Sheath
Fixed blade knives normally come in 2 style of sheaths. Kydex sheaths gives you a haptic click when the blade is stored but they tend to be bulky and unwieldly. Leather sheaths are more fitted but don’t offer any feedback and can wear out quickly, plus they are not weather resistant.
The Magna Sheath solves these 2 problem with magnets and carbon fiber! Machined from a solid block of carbon fiber and with strategically placed magnets. The Magna Sheath provides a secure haptic click when sheathed.
It is also small enough that it would not get in your way. Allowing for deep pocket stealthy carry!
Configure it whatever way you like!
We know that there is no best way of carrying your knife. It boils down to personal preference. Therefore every Slice kit comes with different configuration possibilities.
Pocket carry
Fixed Blade knives normally have a large proportion of the handle sticking out of the pocket. With the Slice you can directly clip the handle to your pocket to make it extra stealthy.
Neck Carry
Carry the Slice around your neck with the included bead chain.
Fast deploy
Attach the included suspender clip to the lip of your pocket for rapid deploy of the blade out the pocket!
Enhanced grip
Attach the included grip tape to the handle side for enhanced grip!
Oversized Lanyard hole
Add a paracord lanyard for a longer handle grip.
Lightweight and strong Carbon Fiber frame
We are big fans of carbon fiber and have embraced it from the very beginning.
Both the blade holder and the Magna Sheath are a monobloc design to maximize the strength of both components. The overall thickness of the Slice is only 7mm (0.28″) (Not including pocket clip).
Carbon fiber has a much higher strength to weight ratio compared to other materials like steel and titanium and is typically found in the aerospace or automotive industry, where every ounce and gram matters.
Thanks to carbon fiber, the Slice only weighs 31 grams (just over 1 oz) with its sheath. Carry it all day without it weighing you down. The featherweight handle balances perfectly with the equally light utility blade for great ergonomics.
Zero blade play & 100% Confidence
Two oversized screws hold the blade in place securely with zero blade play, giving you absolute confidence when using it. This also gives us the ability to maximise the useable blade length, at 52mm, or just over 2 inches.
What do you do when the blade gets dull? Simple! Just loosen the screws with the included 2mm allen key, swap in a fresh blade and you’re good as new!

- We recommend using Stanley NO1992 blades however the Slice and the Magna Sheath can accommodate a wide variety of blades, from hawkbill blades to hooked blades.
Left and Right Handed Options
We understand there are plenty of left handed EDC users out there, but not of a lot of options. Here at Ryfined Gear, we try to make our products accessible to more people and we are delighted to offer the Slice in both right and left handed versions! We will send out a survey to all backers at the end of the campaign to collect your preference!
