Restfolk: Bemberg™ Cupro Pajamas
engineered for the deepest sleep of your life

Meet the softest, most lightweight fabric that hypnotises you to sleep

The Importance of Choosing the Right Pajamas for Quality Sleep

Sleep specialists consistently identify thermoregulation and tactile comfort as two of the highest-impact controllable factors in sleep quality. Yet most sleepwear is designed for the shelf — not the eight hours your skin spends wearing it.

Your garment is in contact with more of your body, for longer, than anything else you own. If it clings, restricts, or traps heat, your nervous system notices — even when your conscious mind doesn’t.

Bemberg™ Cupro: Nature’s Most Refined Fiber

Bemberg™ Cupro is a premium regenerated cellulose fiber made from the cottonseed linter — a byproduct of cotton production. Developed by Asahi Kasei in Japan, it is engineered to exceptionally fine tolerances that natural fibers alone cannot achieve, it is the quiet secret behind luxury fashion houses worldwide.

The result is a fabric that feels different the moment it touches skin — and absorbs your moisture to keep you cool and dry; and have incredible thermoregulating properties, that is better than silk, cotton, bamboo and other natural/synthetic fabrics in the market.

Furthermore, synthetic fabrics like polyester are derived from petroleum-based chemicals. They may release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) through their dyes and finishes, leading to prolonged chemical exposure against the skin. Natural fabrics, by contrast, carry far fewer harmful residual chemicals, making them a safer and healthier choice for everyday wear.

15 Reasons Restfolk can help you sleep deeper & longer

1. Sleep Faster, Deeper with Through-the-night Sleep

Specialists agree breathable, temperature-regulating fabric is one of the top controllable factors for sleep quality. Restfolk is engineered around exactly that — so you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

2. Cooler Than Silk, Cotton & Bamboo

Bemberg™ Cupro’s micro-porous structure wicks moisture 2x faster than cotton. Stop waking up sweaty at 3 AM. Stop kicking off the covers. Just stay cool.

3. Stops Night Sweats — and cuts your air-conditioning bills

Night-time overheating cuts so dramatically and even when turning the thermostat up 2-3°F, you’ll still sleep better. Your sleep gets better. Your energy bill gets smaller.

4. Hypoallergenic & Sensitive-Skin Safe

No harsh dyes. No synthetic irritants. Gentle enough for eczema, rosacea, and the most reactive skin — soft enough to feel like nothing at all.

5. Lightweight & Passes the The “I Forgot I Was Wearing It” Test

Under 100 GSM — so lightweight you stop noticing it’s there. And that’s the moment deep sleep begins.

6. Machine-Washable

Luxury Real silk demands dry cleaning. Restfolk goes straight in the wash. Luxury without the laundry headache.

7. One Set, Every Season

Cool in summer. Warm in winter. Restfolk’s temperature-regulating fibers replace your entire sleepwear rotation — and travel anywhere with our portable pouch packaging.

8. Stylish Anywhere

The simple yet elegant design allows you to go from bed to brunch to workday lounge in it. Work from home in it. Run errands in it. Restfolk is the rare sleepwear you’ll actually want to be seen in.

 9. Raglan sleeves for better mobility

The standard pajama sleeve seam sits exactly where your shoulder meets the mattress. Raglan moves it to the underarm — eliminating the pressure point, freeing your arms to reach, tuck, and roll without the fabric catching. The same principle performance wear has used for decades, applied where it matters most.

10. Adjustable waistband — fit that works with your body, not against it

waistband even slightly too tight raises physical tension, restricts circulation, and fragments sleep — without you ever identifying why. Restfolk’s drawstring waistband removes that variable. Worn loose for maximum circulation at night, cinched for a cleaner silhouette during the day. It adapts to your body, not the other way around.

11. Built-in support — no bra, no second layer, no compromise

Sleepwear shouldn’t require a separate garment to feel complete. Restfolk’s integrated padding sits flat inside a dedicated inner layer — structured enough for real support, discreet enough to wear anywhere. Bed to front door to slow Sunday morning, without reaching for anything extra.

12. Won’t Pill, Fade, or Lose Shape

Cotton wears thin. Silk snags. Cupro holds its luxurious finish wash after wash — so your favorite pair stays your favorite pair.

13. Naturally Odor-Resistant

Cupro’s smooth fiber structure resists bacteria and odor build-up, so your sleepwear stays fresh between washes — no musty mornings.

14. Drapes Like Liquid, Moves Like You Do

Bemberg™ Cupro is the quiet secret behind premium fashion houses — chosen for the way it falls. Not stiff, not clingy. It drapes like liquid, flows with every movement, and settles back without bunching or twisting. At night, that means no wrestling with your sleeves. Just something so fluid you stop noticing it’s there — which is precisely the point.

15. Plant-Based, Biodegradable, Earth-Kind Made from cotton linter

The seed fiber left over from cotton harvesting that would otherwise be discarded. Unlike polyester or faux-silk pajamas (which are plastic), Restfolk is 100% plant-based and biodegradable.

The problem: Six ways your pajamas are failing you every night

Most sleepwear is designed for the store shelf, not the bedroom. The fabrics, cuts, and construction methods are borrowed from daywear — then relabelled as sleepwear. The result is a garment that looks fine on a hanger and fails the moment you get into bed.

Every flaw, deliberately addressed

We didn’t accept that sleepwear had to come with compromises. Each common failure was treated as a design brief.

The construction:
The set-in seam that ruins most pajamas — removed

Conventional Sleepwear with Set-in Sleeve

Advantages of Raglan Sleeve Design VS Set-In Sleeve Design:

  • Seam placement
The set-in sleeve seam runs along the top of the shoulder. Raglan moves it diagonally to the underarm and neckline. For side-sleepers, this means no seam directly under the shoulder-to-mattress contact zone.
  • Range of motion
Raglan construction lets the arm move more freely because the sleeve isn’t anchored to a fixed shoulder seam. You can stretch overhead, tuck arms under a pillow, or change positions without the garment binding at the shoulder. Athletic and performance wear has used raglan for decades for exactly this reason. For sleep, this matters because most people shift positions 10-30 times a night.
  • Less restriction at the shoulder
Set-in sleeves create a fixed armhole — the fabric has to bend at that point. Raglan distributes the movement across a longer diagonal seam, so the garment moves with you rather than catching at one pivot point.
  • Drape and fit forgiveness
Raglan tends to fit a wider range of shoulder widths and slopes without pulling. Set-in requires the wearer’s shoulder to match the pattern’s shoulder point fairly closely. For sleepwear sized S/M/L rather than to body measurements, raglan is more forgiving.

Women’s edition: Built-in padding
support without sacrifice

The women’s Bemberg™ Cupro Pajamas include integrated padding in the top. This was a deliberate design decision: sleepwear should not require a separate garment underneath to feel complete.

The padding is sewn into a dedicated inner layer — contoured to sit flat, not protrude.

The Story Behind Restfolk

Sketch idea with the pain points considered

It started with a few too many bad nights’ sleep.

I’d worn cotton pajamas for years — long sleeves, standard cut. But I started noticing the small things. Fabric dragging when I rolled over. Sleeves twisting. Cotton warming up too fast, leaving me lying at 2am, too hot but too tired to do anything about it. Meanwhile, my wife was freezing under a thick blanket on the other side of the bed. Same room, same night, completely different problems — and the same pajamas failing us both.

I started looking for something better. Most sleepwear was either purely decorative, prioritising shelf appeal over eight hours of wear, or clinical in a way that felt cold. Nothing had been genuinely designed around the act of sleeping — the movement, the temperature shifts, the way a body actually behaves in bed. That gap became an obsession, and eventually, a project.

After months of research, we found Bemberg™ Cupro — a fibre that manages moisture without trapping heat, gliding against skin instead of catching on it. The raglan sleeve eliminated the shoulder seam that had been quietly disrupting sleep for years. Every problem we’d experienced became a design brief. The first prototype was developed with a trusted factory in Dongguan, China, through more iterations than we expected and exactly as many as it needed.

Restfolk was born out of that process. The name reflects what we believe: rest isn’t something you passively fall into — it’s worth designing for. We started with pajamas because that’s where the problem was clearest, but our ambition is larger. Restfolk is the beginning of a lifestyle brand focused on the small, everyday details that quietly determine how well you live.

We hope you’ll be part of building it with us!

Restfolk Wrapped-around Bemberg™Cupro Eyemask

The Restfolk Eye Mask is made from the same Bemberg™ Cupro as our pajamas — and designed with the same logic. Instead of the usual elastic strap cutting into the back of your head, it wraps fully around, one continuous band of fabric from front to back. The same width, the same softness, all the way round.

No pressure points, no rough edges against your skin — just complete immersion in a fabric engineered to feel like nothing at all, so the last thing you notice before sleep is nothing at all.

Restfolk Bemberg™Cupro Pillowcase

The Restfolk Pillowcase brings the same Bemberg™ Cupro fabric to the surface you spend eight hours pressing your face against. Unlike cotton, which absorbs moisture and warms up through the night, Cupro stays cool and smooth — gliding against skin rather than dragging on it, and managing moisture without holding it. The result is a pillowcase that quietly works with your sleep rather than against it, from the moment you lie down to the moment you wake up.
