Digital designs become physical parts in hours—resin figurines, dental crowns, jewelry molds, or CNC prototypes. But achieving a market-ready surface finish? That’s where desktop workshops stall.
In professional manufacturing, manual sanding is obsolete. Pros use pneumatic blasting to erase layer lines and casting flaws instantly—fast, predictable, and hands-free.
Yet this standard hasn’t reached the desktop. Industrial sandblasters are massive, leaky iron boxes that scatter abrasive dust everywhere. Compact, safe alternatives simply don’t exist.

So most makers fall back on sandpaper, files, and rotary tools. Fine for quick touch-ups—but manual scaling kills efficiency. It’s slow, it rounds off sharp edges, and it releases toxic dust—resin shards, microplastics, carbon fiber—into your air. It lingers for hours, settles on your equipment, and poses serious respiratory risks.
There had to be a better way.

We developed GritPlex to bridge this gap once and for all. Our goal was simple: downscale professional, airtight pneumatic finishing technology into an ultra-compact, residential-safe system that sits neatly right next to your desktop 3D printer, dental workstation, or jewelry bench.
By utilizing a steady, non-pulsing pneumatic stream, GritPlex Core smooths away support remnants, layer lines, and casting scales without altering your part’s underlying geometric tolerance.

Whether processing brittle photopolymer resin, standard PLA/PETG, abrasive carbon-fiber nylon, dental crowns, or CNC aluminum parts, the process takes less than 60 seconds. The abrasive media softly blends the surface texture, leaving a high-quality, uniform Satin Matte Finish reminiscent of high-end consumer technology.

True craftsmanship requires versatility. We understand that certain delicate geometries, micro-sculptures, and complex assembly joints will always demand the physical, tactile feedback of your trusted diamond files, chisels, or high-speed rotary burrs.
GritPlex Core is engineered to complement your existing manual tools with zero operational friction, not replace them.

The active blasting circuit is driven entirely by a Wired Foot Pedal. This hands-free architecture redefines your transition between workflows without needing a separate fume hood or bulky negative-pressure spray booth:
- Pneumatic Blasting Mode: Press the foot pedal down with your foot to instantly engage the continuous, steady stream of micro-media for rapid surface blending.
- Zero-Setup Manual Sanding Mode: The exact millisecond you lift your foot, the blasting stream cuts off completely. With no manual valves to turn and no dashboard settings to adjust, the cabin immediately functions as a passive, universal Dust-Free Workstation for your existing hand tools.

Simply place your part into the sealed cabin and bring your own Dremel, files, or carving knives inside. The heavy-duty gloves keep your hands safe while the sealed enclosure captures every particle of dust and debris.
At 44 × 35 × 31 cm (17.3 × 13.8 × 12.2 in) , the Core occupies about the same footprint as a desktop 3D printer — enough room for the vast majority of parts a maker works with, from miniatures and jewelry to dental models and small mechanical components.

Because the blasting media stream is strictly inactive when your foot is off the pedal, the internal workspace remains perfectly clear of loose sand during hand-tool operations. The GritPlex Vac’s continuous negative pressure immediately extracts shavings from filing or grinding, ensuring your hands, workpiece, viewing window, and air stay 100% clean.

To eliminate setup downtime, GritPlex Core integrates a dual‑cylinder and dual‑pen array inside its compact frame. The two internal heavy‑duty aluminum chambers are engineered to withstand extreme pneumatic pressures—with burst‑pressure thresholds exceeding 3.0 MPa (435 PSI).
This immense structural safety margin guarantees long‑term durability and absolute operational safety, eliminating any risk of cylinder failure.

The two chambers each feed a dedicated blasting pen — 1.2 mm for coarse material removal and 0.8 mm for fine detailing and polishing. Nozzles are interchangeable, so you can swap them as your workflow changes.
Two chambers. Two pens. Unlimited configurations.
- Set them up as coarse + fine for a complete two‑stage finishing workflow.
- Load one with glass beads for resin and the other with aluminum oxide for metals—instantly ready for different materials without reloading.
- Keep one chamber for general‑purpose smoothing and the other for final polishing—or any combination that fits your process.

A physical selector valve on the front control panel routes compressed air between the two systems instantly. Switch from one abrasive to the other in under 2 seconds—no emptying, no cleaning, no downtime. Your preferred setups stay loaded, ready whenever you need them.
To help you get started right away, every reward includes a 10kg Abrasive Media Bundle — 6kg of 200‑grit glass beads for satin finishing on resin, plastics, and soft metals, plus 4kg of 150‑grit white fused alumina for aggressive removal on metals and composites. This single bundle covers the vast majority of everyday finishing needs.

For those who work with specialized materials or want to expand their media library, we offer additional abrasive add‑ons in 5kg quantities: glass beads, white fused alumina, brown fused alumina, and black silicon carbide — each available in multiple grit sizes.
You’ll select your preferred grit during post‑campaign fulfillment (via BackerKit/PledgeBox), so you get exactly what your workshop needs without guessing upfront.

Different materials demand different kinetic velocities. Excess pressure can easily fracture delicate features, while insufficient pressure extends working times unnecessarily.

GritPlex Core features an industrial-grade pressure regulator paired with a clear, mechanical panel gauge to provide reliable velocity control:
- 0.1 MPa (14.5 PSI) — Ultra-Delicate Finishing: At this pressure, most sandblasters struggle to maintain a steady media flow—or stop feeding entirely. GritPlex Core’s Venturi‑balanced mixing block keeps the stream consistent even at the lowest setting, delivering a gentle, highly diffused media mist that glides softly over brittle photopolymer resin miniatures or thin jewelry wax molds.
- 1.0 MPa (145 PSI) — Firm Material Removal: Generates a strong, continuous kinetic stream designed to smooth out tough CNC milling paths on 6061 Aluminum, blend rugged carbon-fiber nylon surfaces, or clear heavy surface oxidation and scale layers.

Gravity-fed media valves in entry-level equipment cause “sand choking”—sudden, violent bursts of media clots that instantly crater, dent, and ruin your model’s delicate surface.

GritPlex Core features an internal Venturi Air-Sand Mixing Block. By dynamically balancing the pneumatic air-to-sand ratio, the media flow remains 100% linear, continuous, and steady. No pulsing, no choking, and no unexpected explosions of sand—just pure, predictive velocity control.

Managing fine dust particles, micro-plastics, and abrasive micro-spheres is a practical necessity when operating out of a home studio, a rented apartment, a garage, or a shared laboratory.
These invisible airborne residues must be captured at the source—and that’s exactly what the GritPlex three-stage system does.

The GritPlex Vac houses the motor that actively pulls air out of the system, creating constant negative pressure that travels through the hoses into the Core cabin. This negative pressure is the driving force: it draws airborne dust and debris out of the Core workspace the moment they’re generated, carrying them through the airflow path toward SpinX and Vac.

The Core cabin itself does not pull air—it is kept under constant 3.5 kPa negative pressure by the Vac.

This means any dust generated inside is immediately drawn out through the exhaust port, never lingering in the cabin or escaping through the glove ports.
Even when opening the front hatch, the inward airflow prevents particles from flowing backward into your room.

From the Core, the dust-laden air moves into the SpinX cyclone separator.
Here, centrifugal force throws over 95% of heavy particles—sand grains, plastic shavings, and large debris—outward and downward into the sealed collection bin.
This does two things: it protects the Vac’s HEPA filter from premature clogging, and it recovers reusable media.
Self‑sharpening abrasives like aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, and brown fused alumina naturally fracture upon impact to expose fresh cutting edges—retaining effectiveness across multiple blasting cycles. Glass beads can be reused up to 30 times or more, while walnut shells offer several reuses in lighter applications.

The remaining micro‑fine suspended particles travel into the Vac’s final filtration chamber, where an industrial‑grade True HEPA filter traps 99.97% of airborne hazards down to 0.3 microns—including toxic resin dust and micro‑plastics. Only clean air exits.
The system is powered by a digital brushless motor engineered for quiet, low‑temperature operation over a 10,000‑hour service life.

GritPlex was developed directly out of daily workshop experience. We designed these physical features to eliminate the minor, repetitive frustrations that often occur during manual finishing workflows.

Abrasive micro-particles inevitably ricochet off the workpiece during operation, bombarding the interior window. Over a few weeks of constant use, standard glass or acrylic visors will become lightly frosted and clouded, obscuring your view.

Rather than requiring you to unscrew complicated exterior frames to replace an entire window panel, GritPlex Core utilizes a straightforward replaceable OPP Film Architecture:
- Renewed Clarity: Every unit includes 100 high-transparency OPP protective films for 200+ hours of crystal-clear blasting, eliminating the need for expensive glass replacements.
- Simple Maintenance: When the view becomes hazy from intense usage, simply swap out the worn film for a new one. Replacing the film takes only seconds, instantly restoring a completely clear line of sight.
We chose a soft‑rubber quick‑release coupling for the vacuum hose between the Core and SpinX — a simple design but one that makes daily use much more convenient. It lets you detach the hose in seconds, without tools, so you can rearrange your workspace or access different parts of the system without hassle.

With the hose detached, the 3.5 kPa negative pressure from the GritPlex Vac becomes a handy benchtop cleaning tool.
You can quickly vacuum dust and debris from your workbench, or reach inside the Core cabin to collect residual media — which also makes it easier to recover and reuse abrasives.
