A Distinctive Hand-Finished Blade
One of the most striking features of this knife is its blade.
The blade surface is final hand-finished,
using sandpaper and polishing compound,
and gradually refined from coarse to fine
to create a fine and distinctive surface texture.
The groove area is treated with EDM machining,
adding depth and detail
for a richer overall look..
M390 Powder Steel Blade
M390 is a premium blade steel from Austrian Böhler,
known for edge retention, corrosion resistance,
and dependable real-world performance.
Made through third-generation powder metallurgy,
it has a fine, uniform carbide structure
that supports strong cutting performance
and lasting edge stability.
For a practical heavy-duty EDC folder,
it is simply the right kind of steel.
What Makes the Blade So Tough?
The blade is made from 4 mm-thick M390 powder steel
and heat treated through a vacuum oil quench process,
followed by cryogenic treatment and triple tempering.
The result is a blade hardness of 60–62 HRC,
giving VX2 the kind of toughness, edge stability,
and long-lasting sharpness you want
in a serious heavy-duty folder.
Even under heavy, uneven impact, the blade showed no visible damage.

is finished with a time-intensive hand-ground flat grind,

The Secret of Variable X-Ti Colors — A Masterpiece of Nature 🌈
The surface is brought to life
through a hand-applied anodizing process,
creating the distinctive Starry Ti effect.
The result is a handle with
greater visual depth,
stronger character,
and a finish that makes
each knife feel more unique.
VX2-Ti Starry handle colors represent a true challenge in titanium processing craftsmanship.
First, the VX2-Ti handle is placed into a vacuum furnace and fired at sustained high temperatures.
Under these conditions, the titanium undergoes a phase transformation, forming a dense “ice-crystal” texture on the surface—much like carefully preparing a perfect canvas before painting.
Next, by precisely controlling voltage and current, a dense, nano-thin oxide layer is induced on the surface of pure titanium—fundamentally different from chemically sprayed coatings. This transparent oxide layer has no color of its own, but when light strikes the surface, variations in film thickness cause interference and diffraction at specific wavelengths. Much like the spectral separation of a rainbow after rain, or the iridescence seen on butterfly wings, this process produces rich and stable layers of color.
As the voltage continues to increase, vivid and clearly defined colors gradually emerge layer by layer—each stage of control representing a true test of the artisan’s skill.

Even subtle variations in oxide layer thickness affect the final color result. As a result, every VX2 – Starry version is slightly different, and the colors may shift under different lighting conditions. Each piece carries its own unique beauty—a perfect fusion of craftsmanship and natural light.
Grade 5 Two-Piece Titanium Handle Construction
The handle uses a two-piece construction that demands extremely high machining precision.
Once assembled, the dual-layer structure fits seamlessly as a unified whole, enhancing mechanical depth and structural aesthetics while also leaving room for future DIY inserts and personalized customization.

Secure, Reliable Lockup
Equipped with a 420 steel lockbar insert and a ceramic detent ball, VX2 delivers a lockup that feels solid, direct, and reliable.
Once locked up, it feels tight and unified in hand, with the kind of close-to-fixed-blade feel that knife users notice right away.
A loose knife is more dangerous than a sharp one. That confidence-inspiring lockup comes from the integrated frame lock, the 420 steel lockbar insert, and the kind of tight machining and solid construction you can feel immediately.
In our extreme testing, we struck the spine with a heavy hammer to chop through a cable about 3 cm thick. The lock stayed secure throughout — with no slip and no deformation

Inspired by the iconic shark mouth art of the WWII P-40 Warhawk, it uses a dual-layer thermoplastic construction for strength and durability. Each sheath is handcrafted with close attention to fit, giving you a smooth draw, positive retention, and a secure carry feel.
It also comes with an adjustable heavy-duty nylon clip, compatible with belts from 1.5-inch everyday carry belts to 2.2-inch duty belts. A locking switch at the base helps prevent accidental release and adds extra security in use.

The Standard version uses a sandblasted finish, giving the surface a fine matte texture that feels understated, durable, and built to age well.
