Vega Backrest is an ultra-compact outdoor backrest designed to make sitting on the ground more comfortable. It sets up in seconds and packs down smaller than a rolled beach towel, giving you a stable place to lean without bulky gear or awkward side straps.

The all-too-familiar beach checklist: cooler, umbrella, beach bag, towels, snacks, kids’ gear… and then there’s the chairs that no one wants to carry.

I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and dreamers, so I’ve always wanted to create something I could call my own.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping consumer brands of all sizes improve their sales and operations. That experience has given me valuable skills, strong industry relationships, and a passion for helping good product ideas succeed.
The idea for Vega came during a beach vacation. After making several trips from the car carrying chairs, towels, and everything else the family packed, I kept thinking there had to be a better way to enjoy a day at the beach without hauling what felt like 400 pounds of gear.
That question became Vega.
I leaned on my DIY skills—developing a few new ones along the way—to take Vega from an initial concept through its early prototypes. Once the core concept took shape, I brought in Product and Brands to assist with the technical design and engineering needed to refine Vega for production.
